Well im sure there are defiencies in this department starting with the 4th floor.
Lets see, does Lane-Woodard ring a bell, lets see pulled a gun on her husband at south pct back in the day while involved in a domsectic.
How about Karen Anderson she is only here due to her testimony against Tebo.
Daryl Holmes cant even complete a sentence.
And just think that is just the fourth floor dont get me started.

Ok this article was going pretty well until they quoted the woman who started with all the borderline racebaiting. South gets "left behind" while all the resources go to north and Tucker? Has she seen Tucker precinct? The largest precinct with the least manpower and the highest call volume and probably the fewest working cars?
“If it’s not broke, why are you trying to fix it?”
This quote from Mr. Billups says so much about the county in general. I guess if it isn't broke, we have to "fix" it until it is so we can look like we're doing something about it under whoever the new guy in charge may be.
Personally coming from Tucker, our crime rates were down under Major Fore and his command staff. I really don't know what the point of this shakeup among command is, but this is a good example of why little to nothing gets done around here. There's too much musical chairs and politics being played and not enough concrete action.
Oh well...at least we've got a job..for now...

Somebody whispered that Majors Williams and Fore were demoted because they told Flashy Guy that TAC should handle Glenwood Days, not Uniform. Flashy Guy said no. The 2 majors didn't drink his koolaide, so they were demoted.

Yarbrough is too dumb to realize he will be demoted back to captain one day. The new CEO, Thomas Brown, will take care of him. Watch what I tell you.

Great line. He would win in a landslide too!

I also heard Thomas Brown was running for CEO. Yarbrough has 1 1/2 years to continue his madness. I dont understand how he could do the same things that got Kliesrath demoted twice. What ever happened to being a decent human being?

Too many people make rank, any rank, and think they have to shake things up and make major changes to show people who is boss and to make it look like they are doing something big. I understand that you can't get better if you don't try new things, but there's something to be said for maintaining a good course, one that has served everyone well.

Why do you automatically jump to playing the race card? All of the people he mentioned have had shall we say issues. Anyone officer pulling a weapon on their spouse in a domestic is going to cause issues no matter what race they are...racism and separatism are one of the things that are really causing problems around here.
Same day different shit I guess.

I got some news for you South DeKalb residence. A/C and the rest of the command staff could care less about keeping your neighborhoods safe. Keeping your neighborhood safe doesnt not generate revenue for the County so we just dont care sorry, no matter what anyone tells you. The only thing this Department cares about is writing hummy citations.

EXCEPT T.D. Williams and Capt Gallo were not on board. They agreed that we signed up for this career to clean up the streets. With that in mind the number of citations were low, but arrests were through the roof, and the citizens were happy. So we replace the people who were doing just, with tyrants who have their own agenda, which is to do whatever it takes to make themselves look good. Sorry South DeKalb, things just got bad.

Same old stupid crap at DKPD... nothing has changed in the last 20 years... DeKalb County will go bankrupt now that Dunwoody has incorporated to protect their wallets. Now we gonna hear some real screaming from the bloodsucking parasites when they don't have Dunwoody's money any more... they gonna cut police service to the bone to save $$$

I to agree that the article was going good until the race card was pulled. To the citizens of South DeKalb you really think Tucker and North are any better. No and the shining example is that North precinct is right in the middle of the City of Dunwoody. the higher ups do not care about anybodies safety. the CEO and BOC want to line their pockets. So they put their buddies incharge and then put the token brothers as heads to cut of when things go wrong. But Chief O'brian disappoints me by just standing by and letting King Rancifer's heir run a muck.

Flip Flapper Flipity Flop,

Don’t bother with EAP. EAP can’t fix stupid.

That incident involving Chief Lane happened 20 YEARS AGO! I don’t know if you are racist or not but anyone who brings up something that happened that long ago in order to make a stupid point is definitely ignorant as hell.

Anon 6:05PM is right! Why are you bringing up an attempted murder domestic incident that occurred while on duty from 20 years ago?

Anonymous said...

No statute of limitations on that, lets prosecute...

Yarbrough, you are an idiot! When I first met you at Tucker quite a while back I truly was impressed and felt that you were really interested in our citizens' well being despite negative opinions of officers I have been friends with since having left DeKalb back in '94 many of whom have worked under your command. But when I read the answers you gave to the serious concerns and questions from the South DeKalb residents relative to your transfers/demotions i.e., Williams one has to wonder "what the heck has happened to your common sense"? It becomes crystal clear that you have your own agenda & it doesn't include listening to or caring about the needs /wants of the many residents of the area affected by your backward decisions.Granted, no one in the public sector knows any of the behind-the-scenes drama but one doesn't HAVE to be in the know to realize the damage you have caused to the relationship between these good people whose trust Williams evidently worked so hard to gain as welll as their trust in our police dept. Haven't you had your fill yet of all that Kool-aid? Hope you are proud of yourself and the decisions you have made. No matter how hard the citizens want to believe in DeKalb and work with our police to make their areas a safer, better environment for their families someone like you comes along and destroys all the progress that has been made and their hopes and dreams of one day not being afraid to walk the streets in their own community.Does anyone know the qualifications O'Brien looks for when he promotes someone to one of the highest positions w/in the dept.? Common sense is certainly not a prerequisite!

Soon the citizens of south DeKalb will realize the mistake Yarbrough has made.

Ed Jones is a super nice guy, but he is no precinct commander. He was pushing it being a lieutenant.

Yarbrough is being nothing more then politically correct. He traded same color for same color instead of promoting competence.

The citizens see through wool Yarbrough is pulling over their heads.

Weather it happened 20 years ago or last week, its still wrong..... One good thing is if she was charged she would be up for parole right about now... hhhhhaaaa. And to all you race baiters,,,,F Jesse Jackson and Al sharpton.. They are a disgrace to the race...No one brought up race but you..... Is it you, that feels guilty, that a black female who has rank, whos never done anything is under fire.... Bet you cant guess what race I am.... But if you could guess, you wwouls say Im an Uncle Tom... Race is as race does.... IM SORRY STUPID IS AS STUPID DOES... Yours turly Uncle Tom..

You are correct about Ed Jones. This is no indictment on him, but they had to find the next available black captain to promote to major to replace TD. The same thing with the lieutenants - a black for a black. It's really sad around this place. Director Miller, where are you?
