We'll see.

We still need to continue to write warnings...uh, I mean concentrating on arrests and not revenue generation. If we don't, the BOC will get the idea (rightly so) that throwing us a tiny bone will keep us in line. We need to stay the course.

It is amazing of what a little jesture among the troops can get the attention of the powers to be.

The CEO & BOC pockets are not being filled with perks and the idea of getting new this and that is drying up.

This couldn't have happened to a nice bunch as payback is something not to play around with. That Chief Embezzlement Officer and most of the Board of Crooks are slipping away from their repective pedastals and are fearing that they may fall down. That would be a pity !!!

Carry on troops and we will all watch if this makes a serious dent in the erecting of fancy perks.

Remember, DeKalb says it's "only a select few". Yeah, only a select few who WILL write tickets! Everyone else is saying "Screw You"!

The word is still not out to the 3 yes 3 Tucker units ambushing the the no left turn at Mell av and EPDL again this morning. This is an ongoing spot for the last several months. Guys go to the QT and mingle with the citizens a little. But this has been a Mon - Wed after roll call spot for these units. Congrats on being set up by 7 am every morning. I guess maybe if you are going to write a few tickets guys and ignore the slow down at least get on 285 and get the aggressive driver who is a little bit more dangerous! I know this sounds petty but 2 out of 3 have to be sitting on phone books to see over the wheel.

This is nothing more than a smoke screen scam by the BOC (Board of Crooks) with Boyer as the true back stabbing leader. Stay strong until board of crooks brings their own corrupt spending under control.

Wow

All parties in this news clip are trying to make it sound like the holiday pay issue is the biggest issue yet and that if they reconsider changing it back to us receiving 10 hours like it was at before the lovely memo from HR last month that all will be well again and morale will miraculously be restored......

I dont think so....

HOW ABOUT A RAISE?? We do come to work to answer the calling but we also come to earn money as well

At least towards the end of the report, the reporter acknowledged that the holiday pay grievance was the latest in a long list of pay related issues with DeKalb Officers...

Continue to fight the good fight brothers and sisters...stay safe

A few months Hell no they have been sitting there since they got off FTO, its really sad any good Officer realizes that is not policing at all. They eat breakfast on Memorial Dr. Then sit at that intersection harassing citizens, which by the way the citizens have called 911 and complained. Then someone goes over the radio and has to tell them to go 10-8, plus they damn near cause an accident trying to "get it in " just very sad to watch

Hey Anon 8:48. If the blogmaster is seating at home drawing a pension, I bet he/she is drawing 100 percent of their pension, not 82.5 percent, you dumbass.

Excuse me, what are you doing? I'm using the tape. I'm showing Jeffrey my Emmy tape. We are watching history.

You know if they let you keep your full HOLIDAY hours, its only a 20 hours differance in "YOUR YEARLY PAY". For the slower ones I explain. You get 10 hours for holidays but they only want to pay you 8. You get 10 holidays a years which 8 = 80 hours. 100 hours - 80 hours = 20 hours more.Only 20 hours, thats all... So to most of you, they are going to let you keep 350 dollars more on your checks.... Wow how do I get rehired for that.. "M gone and happy"

Hey 928 am, you are the dumb ass you don't draw 100 % of your pay. You must be one of the smart Bolton PoPo, who will draw 62 % and if you guys along with the Blog Boy supported each other rather than get on here and bash your fellow officers maybe more tax payers would support you. But as it is looks like your all a bunch of nameless cowards. Get ready for no holidays/less vacation and higher insurance co-pays. Hope you enjoy you job. PUNK!

Why does everyone assume the blog master is a man???

I didn't see any ticket slowdown at Idlewood and Fellowship Tuesday morning. Unless the six units there were handing out a bunch of warnings. Supposedly no time to be proactive and always having to go from call to call, yet half a dozen units can be speared to lay in wait in a residential area?!

Again Anon 8:48, here is how the old pension works.

Once you retire, you draw 82.5 percent of your salary. Once you start receiving pension payments, they are at 100 percent of the 82.5 percent. So therefore you draw 100 percent of your pension, not your salary. Still with me?

Let's all say it together now: DUMBASS!

I hope for the departments sake, you don't hold rank.

Oh, and as for calling every cowards for being anonymous, at least you admit your faults. Seeing how you are admittedly a coward by hiding behind "anonymous", please don't back me on any calls.

Clark and Ron are the same person and work for a county commissioner. Their presence here is to muddle the water and attempt to belittle this blog. Blog master, I would pull their blogs, due to the fact that they rarely even come close to relevance.

To Aug 4th. 9:25 p m And how is it that you have knowledge that "Ron" and "Clark" are one and the same and this person works for a commissioner? Are YOU , in fact, this person? C,mon now..if you are going to put this out on the street, then come clean and share the truth with us.

This is a little off subject, but I just read where a group of LAPD officers is suing for being reprimanded/punished for not meeting their "Quota" of tickets! Apparently a pair of West LA officers already has sued and already won $2 million!

Anon 8/4/11 9:25 you're an idiot....if you dont recall last year or so(maybe you were still in the academy)Ron Burgundy (DKPD Officer/CID) took a stand for us and identified himself to the blogmaster and also sent a long letter to the CEO which was then copied by said blogmaster and put on this blog with his name taken out of course. Clark is a good friend of Rons(DKPD/Uniform)and if you dont think so I guess you could just ask Burgundy or "PATSQB" (Former DKPD Officer/Now Johns Creek). JESUS!! Give it a rest...its a freakin blog!!! Ron and Clark are obviously just trying to bring humor and post random phrases to break up the tension. Smile!!! Its going to be ok!!

One problem with the LAPD comment, ticket quotas are NOT illegal in Georgia. Ticket quota laws are determined on a state by state basis. A few years ago this was brought up in Griffin and when they asked them they freely admitted they had a quota.

I like how people are attacking Tucker about POs when in reality they were the only precinct that actually had a ticket slow down. Tucker dropped over 200 tickets from June to July while every other precinct dropped maybe 10. East precinct went up in tickets.

With that said maybe we are looking at this the wrong way. Everyone wants a ticket slow down but what does that get us? How is that supposed to help Chief when he is in front of the BOC asking for stuff? He doesn't have a leg to stand on. I'm not a ticket writer at all but maybe if we started writing more tickets and created more revenue that would give Chief more ammo when he is front of the BOC. It just seems more logical to me.

Anonymous August 6, 2011 2:14 AM,

Your point in valid, but perhaps you haven't been here very long. You see, this is exactly what we have done in the past time and time again. They wanted more and more tickets and officers produced. Officers were told if we hope for things to get better, show the CEO/BOC how hard we are having to work and our productivity. That they would take notice and then be sure to take care of us. Well, after being spat in the face, punched in the gut, and kicked in the groin for so many years (continued reductions and/or loss in pay and benefits) while they continue to line their pockets, and more recently stomachs, despite our efforts, many officers are fed up. Enough is enough. So long as these leaders remain in office, nothing will change for the better for us.

Just follow policy, and issue citations only per the policy's guidelines. Not theirs. Doing so is a revenue ticket reduction.
