Chief Ramos does not care what the church leaders, the business owners or the neighborhood communities want.  She put out another email stating she is moving forward with the plans of an outside company controlling and managing the extra duty jobs for all Dekalb police.  Chief Ramos does not care that this will have a negative impact on the community and the security that has been established with all the small businesses and churches in Dekalb County.

It makes you wonder what the real motive behind this could be.

  Chief Ramos has really upset all the officers from what I am being told, she has chosen to use an independent company to organize and oversee all off-duty jobs. who chose this company? how are they being paid?

On May 1, 2021, our Department will transition from officer-coordinated scheduling to a professional management company. Before the transition occurs, everyone will receive training on the software and get the opportunity to become familiar with the program.

Please be mindful that only approved businesses will be authorized as secondary employment locations. As such, it is imperative that we provide the information for the businesses currently being worked by our officers to the management company to provide uninterrupted service.

 

At no time should any DKPD employee contact the management company directly until we are online. All questions shall be directed through your chain-of-command. When we are online, the management company will provide contact information for the employees’ use.
