This blog page was established so DeKalb County Police Officers including their family and friends may have a place to hold discussions, post news and vent without fear of retribution.
Personally, I thought it was nice to see the truth.
It's not what you do behind the wheel, it's what your capable of doing. Some people have no problems multi-tasking, while others can barely keep it in the correct lane.
Didn't see it as hoodwinked, sounds like he was told to do what he normally does.
I am so HAPPY. Surely, everyone can see - and appreciate - the benefit of just telling the truth. The benefits (like TRUST) are huge. Thank you Chief O'Brien for setting the bar so high. (Now if you could just work on the BO....oh nevermind)
Hey...we've got nothing to hide. We type on the computer and read the computer all the time. It's part of our JOB.
I'm sure the guy who gets his stolen vehicle back(after an officer on patrol finds it by running the tag) has not problem with officers running tags and using the computer while driving.
I'm certain they'd be happy to know, a lot of people avoiding paying taxes to Dekalb, by not registering their vehicle, are caught that way on a daily basis.
The DeKalb Police Department has had computers mounted in patrol cars since the 1980s. It is just not that big of a deal. And who gives a damn what Mekka Parish says about anything?

He oughta know it's illegal. That's a storm sewer. If it fills with gas, I pity the person who lights a match within ten yards of it.
