This blog page was established so DeKalb County Police Officers including their family and friends may have a place to hold discussions, post news and vent without fear of retribution.
Well its about time that this county realizes that positions filled by civilians who dont have a clue need to be filled by sworn personnel once again. This is just another EMBARRASSMENT the county must endure in the media spot light.
Who did she report to while working for Pawn Unit? Theft Un it supervisor or who? And why werent her supervisors following her monthly stats more closely? Any neglect there or CLUES????
Well at last the truth has come to the front. I thought this would never be revealed. I told several former commanders and they told me to just forget it. I love the truth.
In reference to the pawn unit...There were civilians in that unit before her that did an excellent job.It was a very productive unit and a great asset to detectives. Ask any detective who was around prior to her. So don't put all civilians in the same category because there are dishonest sworn personel as well and they aren'tall put in the same category.
Actually, I'm surprised heading up the pawn unit is not a sergeant's slot. How did a job like that, with a take home car if I read the above correctly, escape the attention of all the motor maintenance and admin sgt's we used to have?
Actually.....I'm surprised an Lt. didn't stake that territory...
I'm sure a dedicated civilian could do a fine job. No reason for a sworn a officer to hold that position. Keep the sworn officers on the streets and in plain, vanilla, uniform patrol.
Don’t expect them to push this investigation too far. Right now they have enough to fire her, but if they keep pushing and show how long this has been going on and how extensive it was it will make the people above her look bad. She was fired and may be prosecuted, but no fish bigger than her will fry for this.
So if the pawn unit was not checking these pawned guns, can the pawn shop sell the guns? I hate to think the few used guns I have purchased in the past are stolen.

Why they dont prosecute her must be because too many people protected her. Let's look at who were the ones that protected her for well over a decade.
Syliva ...where is Farley now when you need him?????? I know call Flemister...maybe he can be of help??

Can we say Duncan..... who was a Farley boy. Then guess who else?
Do ya'll use Leads Online in CID?
The reason she stayed where she was ..........CID supervisors did not know what her job function. They also knew she was protected.
Explain why she needed a take home car? How many years did she have one?
Fly on the Wall

She needed to be fired years ago. She just use the system to further her longevity.
Civilians at work.
The District Attorney should prosecute this employee. I bet this gets swept under the cloud of suspicion.
Well if this person does not plea to a deal, the DA will not prosecute.

There's nothing for Gwen to gain politically by prosecuting her, so she won't be.

I hear it more 70 guns, that's just the beginning of this investigation.

Well Butch Davis did try and get rid of her but that didn't go anywhere. She was better protected than our new CEO Little Lord Fauntleroy is .
