It Seems The Fix Is In

Something is just not adding up here. Burrell Ellis and Wizard Miller fired Care Ambulance the first week of June 2010. In April of 2010, Burrell traveled to Arizona and visited Rural/Metro ambulance service, who now has been chosen to replace Care Ambulance.

Very odd that Burrell would visit Rural/Metro two months prior to terminating Care Ambulance. Burrell even went out of his way to say he payed for his own trip.

We have a sneaky suspicion the ambulance mess is going to cost the citizens of DeKalb hundreds of thousands of dollars in legal fees before it's all over with.

This appears to be another segment of DeKalb County. It looks like Little Vernon is playing the field to make money just like Big Vernon did.
How will the county benefit from this new ambulance service?
CARE Ambulance service provided good service to the county.........if you ask the county employees. Then the county employees do not count when it comes to money. Some things do not change with this administration.
If they say it is cheaper then it will be worst.

Someone is getting some money somewhere in this scheme of things.

Care Ambulance was good service but the money must have been wrong.

Find who Vernon got his money from then call them. He must be rich now after being CEO of Dekalb for eight long years.

This county is corrupt at in all the upper levels. We see it in the news daily. The employees and the citzens will continue to suffer as long as the same people keep getting re-elected. The citizens need to start educating themselves about the politics of this county. Most citizens vote for a name on a ballot, not a person's credintials or qualifications. Till then this county will continue to sink and the politicinas will continue to get rich off of our hard work.

geez will it never end!

Trying to justify visiting the same company that you eventually end up signing a contract with by saying that you paid for it out of your own pocket only makes you look more guilty. Kinda sounds like there may be some personal benefit in the CEO's visit.

Then you forget when he used to say are they local and minority before we even talk to them.

Looks like the the commissioners have nothing to say.

I guess he told Wiz what he wanted for the PUBLIC SAFETY DIRECTOR to do about this matter.

He running the police and fire just like Vernon.

Well looks like Big Vern needs to make room for Lil Vern for the corruption in DeKalb.

I looked at the web-sites of both of the companies that were reported to receive the contracts from the county, and neither appeared to be the usual political low-lifes that normally receive favors from DeKalb politicians.
Perhaps CEO Ellis understands the political fallout of a poor decision for this important contract.
That said, I do not understand why CARE was given the boot. There was one incident of a late arrival to site, and it was the fault of 911, CARE EMT's used initiative and fired up a laptop and googled the correct location. The Wiz is reporting there were two other late-arrival instances that initiated the firing of CARE, but refused to announce the specifics of the issue.
Sounds like political BS to me....
