This is something that the SWAT guys came up with. I am told that the entire SWAT Team will be there on that day to give blood and they wanted to do it in honor of Stepnowski, which is a great thing to do. Considering the job we do, you never know when we may need some blood to save our lives one day. A worthy cause for sure.

Anything for Step is a worthy cause. I hope everyone comes out in memory of his sacrifice. He gave his life protecting and serving. The least we can do is give a little blood!

When Step was killed, the SWAT guys wanted to place a memorial decal on their cars honoring Step. They were threatened with disciplinary action by then Assistant Chief Pearson.

Now you have a Major running around with University of Georgia decals on his assigned county car.

Funny how things are.
