Only the citizens of Dekalb County change how this county is run. I hope they take this seriously and look at each candidate. Dekalb needs change and a good man to lead it. That is not Burrell Ellis. His record speaks for itself.

If I had to go by the Bio from this blog, I'm going with Edmunson. Business man who had to balance his budget to survive.

I'm voting for Adams

Anyone but Pelvis will do. We need someone pro-police. These Citizens rely on our department so they need to know of our issues and concerns

I wanna see each candidates credit reports

I second that motion..I'm voting for Adams also.

Y'all know my views on CEO Burrel Ellis.
I emailed Greg Adams for his views upon county reorginization, y'all know my stance on the issue. I received a reply from his campaign manager with the legal addendum that the communication was confidential. I can only legally report that I do not agree with Gregory Adams campaign managers reply to my inquirey.
I welcome any new players into the DeKalb CEO's election arena. DeKalb citizens are going to have to save themselves.
Reproducing the same mistakes over and over again is not a sign of good government.
The very best of luck mates!

Edmondson? can't we get a candidate who has not already been chaiperson of any BOC-member's committee? In this case, Edmondson as he has been & is tied to Stan Watson. Boy! How do we always seem to get so lucky to have such slim pickins' when it comes to political candidates?

I read in another local paper that Edmondson said he thinks the CEO position should be abolished and there should be a County Manager instead. We'll see if he sticks to that belief during his campaign and especially if he is elected.

I'll be writing in the words 'County Manager' on my ballot to show my strong belief that we need to ditch the CEO form of government all together.

I am curious as to the statement by Ken C. Because I know Mr. Adams answers all questions for himself, if a response was given by his manager, what is the name of said person and when was it asked and answered? I am sure that if you still want a response Mr. Adams will be glad to respond. And to those that don't know him or have viewed his profile, go to www.gregoryadamsforceo.com He's not only a former Dkpd but a senior pastor, business man and organizer of ministries in the US and Foreign soil also. So to understand he worked with a small budget and established 14 churches in the Philippines.
this is the guy we need to lead this county.

I hope 230 of the most complaining officers on this blog lose their jobs when Brookhaven become a city. If that happens then hopefully we get to keep the best most qualified officers. I say we do a board to see who is dedicated to the citizens of this county. If you want to leave now this will be a good time to leave before you will be forced to leave. This county is on it's way to mirror Fulton County. On by the way Sheriff Thomas Brown is hiring over at SO if anyone is interested. So before you get the axe I just want to say to all of the top cops on this blog it should not be hard for you all to get a job somewhere else so good luck and start preparing yourself. It's coming sooner than later so stop complaining about some pot head and start preparing for your future and career here or some where else.

Great. Just what we need. Domestic AND foreign sexual misconduct lawsuits. We may as well elect Buff Daddy Long himself!

Is dkpd really going to layoff if Brookhaven becomes a city? Dkpd is always testing for new officers and I heard they are short on officers now. I wanted to apply to dkpd but not sure if I will if layoffs are in the future.

Layoffs.... hard to say. If you reduced the number of officers needed to account for the loss of Brookhaven, we're probably already at or BELOW that level. Knowing the BOC and Ellis' past decisions, I could see them reducing head count to stay in line with our current level of UNDER STAFFING. Time will tell.
