This Was Obviously Staged

Just goes to show you that defense attorneys have no soul.

I hope they ask for firing squad volunteers.

To Woodards uncle, you hope your nephew gets a fair chance. What was fair about these two officer's lives being taken by your POS nephew?

"Do you love William?" asked the attorney.

"Yes sir," Grays said. Then she screamed.

Yeah well, the families of the two officers he killed loved them too. Sorry, but those pathetic histrionics do nothing for me. Poor Auntie - if you knew this cop killer was raised amongst drugs, prostition, ETC, what did YOU do to try to help?? Huh?? Please.

So what your saying is that being raised in the enviroment in south DeKalb county makes you mentally ill and therefore not responsible for your actions?
What a wonderful county you have made. I remember when it was nice.

Is this another new defense? He grew up in a violent home, so he never had a chance to grow up normal? I thought self defense was why he assassinated the officers? Now it was his upbringing? Which was it, defense counsel? It can't be both! Either he did it out of self defense, which is bullshit, or he did it because of his upbringing, partially true, but still bullshit and not a valid defense.

What a load of crap. She's absolutely fine and then just starts yelling while trying to prove that she is "mentally ill". The defendant in this case and his family are disgusting and pathetic. They will do anything to deflect and shift the blame. The aunt's actions were at least somewhat comical and remind me of an old Martin episode where he was on trial for something and said he should be found not guilty "Because I am IN-SSSAAAAANNNNEEEE!!!!" and then began shaking his head all over the place and jumping into the jury box.

Dwight Thomas knew exactly what he was doing when he put that screaming what- ever- you- want -to -call her on the stand. He's been practicing law way far too many years not to know the effect this type of outburst would probably have on at least one juror. And that kind of holdout for life, not death, is all that is needed for a life sentence or for the judge to make the decision. Way to go Dwight. Let's see if Gov. Deal declares a day in 2013 as Dwight Thomas Day as was done in 2012...and this was in the name of all the things he has contributed to DeKalb Co. True, lawyers will be lawyers, that's their job, but to refer to Barker and Bryant as "bullies with badges" is despicable. I can remember how glad you were to have the help of DeKalb's finest when you were held up at gunpoint outside a take-out restaurant on S. Hairston Rd. back some years ago. All defendants have the right to an attorney who will defend them to the end but surely you could have left out the bullies comment. Hope you never have to call DeKalb 911 for help in the future. You just might wind up with one of those "bullies with badges".

And the Academy Award for Worst Actress in a Death Penalty Trial goes to:

Crackhead Nutjob Graves!

Where were the tears in the Aunt's eyes? There were none!!!! I hope that was pointed out to the jury!

I sure hope these jurors step up and do the right thing!!! The longer they take to deliberate, the lower the chances of this pos being sentenced to death. I dont have a good feeling about this , after all it is a dekalb jury!!!!!!!

I think the DA should go after the family in a civil case for the cost of training the 2 officers. They say it cost a boat load of money and time to train officers and since he has been found guilty by a jury of his peers, I think the county should go after them to re-coupe sum of those funds they've lost and send a CLEAR message!!!! The perps took from the county and the familys.....so now we will take back what you did to our community!!!

This kind of circus happens because we as society allow it to happen. If we held the Judges and courts more responsible for these circus lawyer acts, this wouldn't happen. The legal system has become a joke in this country. It's a place were the unlawful are made to stand in the corner for a few minute before they can go back outside and ransack the world.

Dekalb County had an opportunity to send a message to anyone that would harm a law enforcement officer, much less take one's life. This guy murdered two officers that were just doing their job. I'm sure that before the trial began the defense attorney would have encouraged this POS to take the deal he finally received anyway. The death penalty should be mandatory in cases like this. Justice will not be served until he stops breathing.
