Most employees take other employment once able to draw their pension in order to have two salaries.
He was a good detective at DKPD. Why not get some extra money. Many do that.
Because he wasn't as smart as he thought that he was. Even with the college degree that he earned on duty in TAC. DKPD unfortunately doesn't retain the brightest folks even if they have a degree lol.
