Dekalb Police lost 14 officers last month from retirement, other departments, the private sector, and officers being
terminate.
The department is already short-handed and having trouble
putting officers on the street to handle calls and caseloads. With rumors of losing the 4/3 schedule, more
officers are looking to leave and to retire early.
Dekalb is already behind every other metro agency in what
they are paid, the benefits packages are the worst in the metro area.
Dekalb officers pay more out of their salary for health benefits than any other
agency in the metro area.
I am scared to see what happens when Chief Ramos puts the
whole department on the 5/2

The 5/2 is no biggie. We have worked it for years. It’s a normal work week. Keep screwing with her and she could make it a lot worse.

Oh wow! All I’m worried about is staying healthy and alive! This place don’t offer decent masks, they handed out these flimsy pieces of shit masks! Don’t offer weekly covid testing to officers, all they are worried about is a body. Officers are coming to work sick and passing covid to each other. We don’t know who is who! Sad!

I love the mandatory food drive assignment, watching people driving high end luxury cars picking up free food to feed their family. I’m guessing it’s something I will never understand.
Well at least the Sheriff’s department won’t take a prisoner if they refuse to wear a mask at the jail. I can’t wait till you release a prisoner on a murder charge with a citation because they refused to wear a mask. What a great place to work.
