With the county election just around the corner, what is the future of Dekalb County?

This is the opportunity to make your voices and votes count. Dekalb county CEO and the commissioners have ruined this county in almost every aspect.

Dekalb County has the highest crime rate and the highest attrition rate for all employees but especially public safety employees. Our public Safety Director has a job because he is the CEO college fraternity brother, and no one knows why Chief Ramos is here. She has been trying to leave since the day she was sworn in, yet we keep her here letting her kill morale and make the bad decisions that she does on a daily basis.

It is time for a change in Dekalb County lets start with all new people, everyone must go from the CEO and his incompetent commissioners to the leaders of each department in the county.  Let's make this election count for the citizens and the employees of Dekalb.

i think it would be awesome if all the commissioners were voted out and we started over with new leadership not only in Decatur but all the major department heads.

by the time the elections get here, this county will be unsavable and the damage will be irreversible.

Just remember when Trump was President. Cheap food cheap gas prices and low crime. Actually a safer environment for us in law enforcement. But now we're at the bottom of the barrel. This is what happens when you vote for libtard democrats. This place will never get better until the sheep wake up and vote for Republicans. Remember this....what do you have to lose?

I don't think the County government is interested in a safe community or a healthy police department. I believe they are in lockstep with the Biden DOJ in an attempt to divide people and keep the people in chaos. When everyone is afraid to step out of their homes, the people will vote for more government in hopes of having some security. That's how tyranny works.

Perhaps DeKalb can apply for one of those new grants from the Biden administration to distribute free crack pipes. That should make us all so much safer.

The County is so filled with corruption and hate. They should designate the County and the largest Land-fill in U.S. Please live, own a business or even work in another County. If possible do not stop, shop or even drive thru Dekalb.

The CEO needs to get rid of Chief Ramos NOW....she is destroying the police department and the relationships with other departments. four weeks ago Gwinnett County Police Department was on a hostage negotiation SWAT call and reached out to Dekalb Police asking for SWAT assistance on the call. Chief Ramos told Gwinnett Police that Dekalb will not assist and she refused to help in any way at all.
Gwinnett is always assisting Dekalb with air support since our helicopter unit is always down. so now Dekalb is ostracized from other agencies and we the reputation of not assisting other agencies with anything.

SMH ...I cant believe Dekalb refused to help on a swat call....what has happened to backing our fellow officers.

Dekalb needs to give up some of that equipment they received with federal grant money, and let other agencies have it. I know if my agency had the equipment we would never say no to helping other agencies. we sign an agreement when we receive federal grant money for equipment that we will assist other agencies if they ask for help. I think an audit or investigation should be done if Dekalb refuses to help take the equipment away.

What has happened to Chief Ivonoff, he use to be a SWAT and BOMB guy and loved helping other agencies he is Chief of Special Operations why did he not assist Gwinnett.

Anonymous said...

you answered your own question, he is Chief of Special Operations, he was castrated when he took the position he just does what Ramos wants now. he turned in his spine for a rank...

Anonymous said...

how embarrassing to be a Dekalb officer knowing other agencies can not count on you in time of need.

Anonymous said...

Ivanov has no spine. Never has. He’d always talk a good game when dealing with the problems of the department. Give that man some brass and watch his balls disappear

Anonymous said...

Ivanov was a do boy for Rancifer. Now he’s a do boy for Ramos. Spineless.

The decision not to assist GCPD SWAT came straight from Chief Ramos, no one else. Mutual Aid assistance calls have to go from chief to chief…DKPD SWAT was ready to go but was ordered to stand down…”we can’t get involved”

Anonymous said...

before I made a comment I made some phone calls and verified some things first. it is true that Gwinnett asked Dekalb to assist in a SWAT call and it is true that Chief Ramos refused to assist Gwinnett. now, here is the real kick in the nuts, Gwinnett allows Dekalb to store Dekalbs helicopter at Gwinnett's hangar during inclement weather and Gwinnett covers Dekalb with air support anytime they ask. it is also true that when you receive federal grant money for swat, bomb. riot equipment.. etc... you sign a document that states if any local agency asks for the assistance you will use the equipment and assist them.
I know a formal complaint is being filed and Dekalb might lose some grant money and equipment....thank Chief Ramos for making Dekalb look so bad

Ivanoff is pathetic what a coward he has become, at one time in the north he was a hell of an officer but he is just a spineless coward now, and what an embarrassment.

Anonymous said...

Ivanoff learned how to screw over officers from Yarborough

Anonymous said...

I was very disappointed when I found out Dekalb refused to help us out on our SWAT call, your new chief is a real piece of work. I guess in Miami they do not help other officers or other agencies.

so Chief Cardi B has applied at several different jobs since she has been at Dekalb but no one will hire her because after talking with her they realize she is an idiot. but here in Dekalb we keep her and let her ruin our department and just do whatever the hell she wants.
I thought the CEO was an educated man with common sense, can he not see how she is a cancer to Dekalb.

Anonymous said...

when Ivanoff retires in October will Chief Ramos give him his spine and nuts back as a retirement gift.

Anonymous said...

DKPD has become the joke of the entire state, we are not respected at all anymore.

Anonymous said...

15 officers have resigned in the past 30 days, not retired resigned to go to other places.

Anonymous said...

The only way to fix Dekalb is to communicate with the citizens of Dekalb and get them to vote in all-new commissioners. Dekalb needs new leadership from the top all the way down, so let the citizens know, and let's start a movement to vote out everyone and start over with new honest dependable leaders.

Anonymous said...

I think Dekalb is beyond help it is worse than Clayton county with the corrupt politics and how Clayton was destroyed.

If you’re not paying attention to what just happened to MPO C then you’re not paying attention…

Anonymous said...

Any word on the $1000 bonus from the State of Georgia?

Anonymous said...

Our Department has zero doses of Narcan. If there are any floating around, they're expired. Even the guys in Narcotics don't have any. The Chief was advised of this and refused to spend money to purchase more. Let that sink in. Your safety and your well being are too expensive for her...but she'll make damn sure your body cam is on if you draw your weapon. What a joke. Please y'all, go work somewhere where you'll be appreciated, cause it ain't here. Our Assistant Chiefs should be ashamed of what they've allowed her to do to this Department...buncha self-centered cowards. #FIRERAMOS

Anonymous said...

What happened...spill the beans. Use mpo john doe as his name...

Anonymous said...

Who is MPO C and what happened to this person? DeKalb definitely has a reputation of, sweeping bad shit under a rug.

Anonymous said...

MPO C was indicted for political points recently. DA office is keeping it quiet because it's a bad case and likely wont win. Chiefs office is keeping it quiet because it demonstrates yet again she will not back her officers.

Anonymous said...

So what did officer C actually do ?

Speaking facts said...

MPO C is Swat officer Connors. Most who do know, he was clearly doing the job but thrown under the bus and backed over a few times for political points.

Anonymous said...

MPO C is Swat officer Connors. Those who know, know he was doing his job and thrown under the bus and ran over and backed over a few times.

Tucker FIT was trying to pick up a 44 perp…perp shot at them so they swore out agg assault j2 on the perp…SWAT and tucker FIT we’re trying to j1 the perp…C was driving an unmarked vehicle, briefly lost control of vehicle and struck perp as he fled on foot through a parking lot…perp did not die and had made full recovery…two officers were put on restricted duty for TWO years…MPO C was indicted on three felony charges and fired…other officer has been re-instated

Anonymous said...

18 officers have resigned since January 1 2022

Anonymous said...

I don't understand why the CEO does not see that the Chief is destroying this department.

Anonymous said...

The step unit officers were told they should put a leave request in if they are not going to be available for special details on their off days....so they are not allowed to make plans on their days off. WTF kind of B/S is that.

Anonymous said...

Sounds like a BLUE FLU is needed

Anonymous said...

One more resignation is on it's way up the chain, and that would be mine. I've literally had enough of this cesspool, SOD....& watching the rats feed off of one another. Gonna do a JT Irwin on my way out and give a few words.....Kinda like the ones he gave ol' Vernon Jones when he told him where he could go at his retirement gathering.

Speaking of SWAT, can we all chip in and convince Asbury to retire early? Ever since Swain left that whole unit has gone down hill. Trying to convince them (Asbury) to do there job and hit a search warrant is like pulling teeths from a crocodile! It doesnt matter what the warrant is for (50, 58, 92) he tries to get out of it 99% of the time. Why they got all those toys if he wont let them use them? Guess they like to play dress up! :-)

Anonymous said...

Asbury use to take us by windows and thought it was tactical. Without shields. Dude is a failure of a supervisor. He needs to resign

Anonymous said...

I mean can you really blame Asbury? We have a malicious DA that wants to put cops in jail. A police chief that will not back her officers noatter what. Across the street, Fulton County DA just indicted officers on Murder charges for shooting a suspect that was already actively shooting at them on a search warrant. So with everything going on, why on earth would he put his guys at risk over some half ass investigated searched warrant?

Anonymous said...

So you sayin Asburry afraid to do his job? I'm not sure which is worse, an incompetent SWAT commander or cowardly one...turning the Black Cats into Kitty Cats, meow!

And it ain't his job to investigate these cases. If it were they'd be doing a fraction of the search warrants that they asked to do today, meow meow meow!

tHE SWAT TEAM IS A JOKE, It's nothing like it once was and in fact, the entire special ops division is a joke, we only have 1 pilot and he sucks at best. don't get me wrong we have amazing officers in special ops, our command staff has ruined this division. the only thing we are good at now is handing out food at food drives and directing traffic at covid sites.

Anonymous said...

I had high hopes for the division when Yarbrough left and Ivonoff was promoted. I was excited for positive changes and a leader that was not fake. well that lasted all of about a week and I realized Ivanoff had been castrated and was kissing the ring of Cardi B

Anonymous said...

it's not just special ops, it's the entire dept. Dekalb is the joke of the metro Atlanta area

Anonymous said...

Dekalb police
The department that does not back our officers or other agencies when they need it.
Come work for us and learn how to get screwed and how to screw others.

Anonymous said...

is it true we have lost 21 officers since the beginning of the year?
I hear TSU detectives are leaving because of the workload and Ramos hates that unit.
no one wants to work motors because they change their off days from week to week, i am telling you special ops is a mess

Anonymous said...

I would rather hump calls and not have a caseload, I hate accidents and do not want anything to do with TSU.
special ops does whatever the commissioners want for whatever special event they put on.

Anonymous said...

Major Felony has the biggest caseload and those guys always have a ton of overtime. why kill yourself and your family for a department that does not pay you what you are worth.

Anonymous said...

Dekalb has the worst retirement in the state and the highest cost of insurance in the state, we never get raises and you will never top out at any rank in this department, the more years of service you give them the more they screw you.

Anonymous said...

It's not TSU that Ramos hates, she hates all of us. She doesn't care about us, we're just a stepping stone for her. She has to make us look like we are garbage and she fixed everything and saved us all so she can move on to something bigger. She hates it when ideas that weren't hers are successful because so many of her ideas have failed, like when she tried to change how off duty jobs are run. Nobody likes her, she's an idiot and needs to bounce back to Miami.

Anonymous said...

Ramos always send out emails, as if she cares about our families. She doesn’t care about us or them! Take as many days as you can and look for another job, DeKalb County Government is not the place to be.

Anonymous said...

Damn. I feel for y’all. I was DKPD for years and each year the department got worse and worse. I finally left last year and I’m so damn happy. I know leaving can seem impossible but I truly enjoy my new career. I’d never ever return. Not to DeKalb. Not to PD anywhere. Y’all keep pushing.

Anonymous said...

CEO Michael “SPINELESS” Thurmond! How can you not see what’s going on, within this Department? Or is it that you don’t care? You will never be the Governor of Georgia, you can’t run this county properly.
