Clarkston city managerShawanna Qawly has demoted police chief Christine Hudson amid ongoing chaos at city hall.
Hudson confirmed that John Pearson is now the director of police services, a new position within the city. Clarkston has not announced the hir publicly, and Pearson's information is not on the city's website.
John Pearson is a retired Captain from Dekalb police and a former chief Deputy from the Hemry county Sheriff's Department.

After 6 months of Pearson, Clarkson will look like Pine Lake PD with one officer on patrol. Everyone else will resign or retire if they can. I remember that clown very well. Back when he was Assit Chief when Bolton was Chief. Since Bolton could be chief officially he thought he was king going to precinct talking real reckless to officers. He threatened to send me to animal control for having an opinion on a matter during roll call. If you work at Clarkston PD, have a backup plan immediately. Get out of there.

These people that are in command positions in most departments are appoint by a city or county leader. They did not earn it from promotional testing and merit. Some earned rank by diversifying appointments even when they tested low. I think bottom line is very few people are really qualified for leadership.
They got nothing on the morale killing going on in dkpd at the hands of Ramos, Wallace and Williams. Williams is getting transferred but what about Wallace who let him abuse everyone underneath him? Wallace loves writing people up for failure to supervise.
