Is Your Health Insurance Plan Safe?

While we are sleeping, the commissioners are finding ways to cut our benefits even more. Remember when they tried to drop Blue Cross Blue Shield in 2007?

DeKalb contributed $43 million to county employee health insurance plans in 2007 and is scheduled to pay 12 percent more—$48 million—in 2008, according to the county’s Risk Management division. To combat the rising cost of health care, the county is considering implementing a three-phase comprehensive wellness program.

Will they stop with a wellness program? Or will they do even more?

With Grady going down hill, I can foresee insured DeKalb County employees being forced to use Grady for health care.

Wake up and keep an eye on it. This will directly effect your family!
