That is the worst promotion list in the history of the police department. Sgts and Lts excluded. Honest to God, I can't understand how some of these people can look at themselves in the mirror. Good job Bolton. Just keep promoting incompetent dumb asses who have no idea how to lead. You got rid of Pearson, Miller, Holmes and Duncan for these idiots? They had their faults but they understood police work. The citizens of DeKalb can look forward to another year of increasing crime rates thanks to you!!

Congratulations to the deserving officers that have been promoted. I suppose congrats are in order to the CEO as he has been able to get two of his drivers promoted, one to major and one to deputy chief. I guess the commisioners deserve the real kudos since it was their infinite wisdom to grant the CEO the power of hiring/firing department heads on a whim. I don't know why we even have a merit system in place. Finish in the bottom percentile on captain's list, no problem, be someon'e buddy and boom now you're a major. Even better, get promoted to lieutenant and be not even off probation and boom you're a major!! Why? Well your main qualification is you can keep secrets while you drive the CEO around town. Hopefully atleast the sergeants will be assigned to the Uniform division so they can learn to be productive supervisors. I'm still dumbfounded that we have recently promoted sergeants assigned to the property room and code enforcement. Unbelievable.

Unbelievable.....next time you get your paycheck look at how much your paying towards retirement. When you see how much a your putting then you;ll see why. There are a few good promotions on there, but the rest is just unbelieveable. The blind leading the blind and more money being thrown out the window. I shake my head in disblief. Some please pull the chain so at least the water in the bowl will go to the treatment plant!!!
