Are We Really DeKalb's Finest?

What a week this has been for DeKalb Police. Five (5) officers have resigned from North Precinct. I understand four (4) went to Sandy Springs P.D. and one left after his DUI arrest.

It appears that a certain lieutenant made Margarita Williams upset and was transfered to Special Operations the very same day. He is not one to back down. I would work for him any day.

I heard the recent police academy graduation was quite a show. Its hard to believe all the stories, its hard to believe it happened. Family members displaying Gang Signs and other actions.

They have made room at East Precinct for their new Major from Atlanta Police Department. East Precinct is the precinct that all former Atlanta Police Lieutenants are assigned to as Majors. East Precinct was remapped and condensed in size, yet retained the same amount of officers. It is the perfect set up for a new person unfamiliar with DeKalb County or it's police, to shine. The new Major rides the backs of hard working officers to be Bolton's show dog at the Comstat dog and pony show.

The other one will be going to Special Operations , that has been his career with APD. This has got to be a morale boost for everyone inside the department.

Well it looks like we have a correction, the Lieutenant from APD is assigned to our Detective Division. I guess he has the experience to go with the rank of Major in DeKalb CID , the year of the most Homicides and other related crimes. Why would you come to a department in such turmoil as ours? Then knowing that this Chief is out the door after Jan 1 2009. I guess a free ride and some extra money and a take home car. Good Luck next year.

Well know that we have these new Majors what will they all do after Jan 1, 2009 since Mr. Ellis will clean house and bring in his own People? I would also like to know what happens since Dunwoody will take some officers and we will have to start over to get better pay without our insurance going up again on Jan 1

We're not the finest anymore. Lt. Wilson also upset Ms. Margarita and he was transferred to Communications. He's not a bend over kind of guy.
The gang signs ummm... yeah... we have perps with badges...It's true..."If you're going to be a criminal you have to know the law."
