The 3rd annual “Step Up Foundation” golf tournament to memorialize slain Detective Dennis Stepnowski will be held October 20, 2008 at Windermere Country Club. The cost is $100.00 per player/$400.00 per team which includes lunch and post golf dinner. Registration Deadline is October 1st 2008.
If you are not a golfer, please make any donation you can afford, plus one dollar.
All proceeds to benefit “COPS”, Concern’s of Police Survivors (www.nationalcops.org) and “Shop With a Cop” (www.dekalbfop.org)
All Donations are tax deductible. Federal Tax ID # available.

God I miss Step!
He would always stop to back you if he happened to be driving by and saw you out on a traffic stop........he was always there to talk to a rookie and give advice or laugh about something that happened on the street. He was always a joy to run into in the parking lot at 34.....He was like a brother.
I wasn't real close to him, but he really made an impression.
I've always said.....We lost Step, but was a Dekalb Officer in the old sense. He never gave up and he did it right. Though fatally wounded, he fought to the end. He made the world a safer place by finishing what he started. He made sure that murderer would never hurt anyone again.
Step, we/I miss you and we're proud of you!
I hope that someday I'll be half the officer your were.
I miss Dennis.
