Vernon can come up with 7 million dollars for over priced land, but there is no way in hell he or the commissioners can come up with enough money for the safety of the officers and citizens of DeKalb County, not to mention police cars.
But then again, it takes a police chief that is a true leader and cares more for the common line officers than seeing how many of Vernon's drivers he can promote to Major or how many unqualified friends he can bring over from Atlanta P.D.

New qualifications for Major-
1. Must be able to drive in a tinted out vehicle at night.
2. Must have been employed by another agency and expect that if your hired as a Major, you will be a Chief in a few months.
There has to be more than that to being a Major. Well I guess not, if you look at what he did in Dallas. When he was fired , all the ones he promoted were demoted after the new chief could not determined any qualifications for them to hold the rank under his administration . Wait and see.
