Below is a link detailing the transition team. DeKalb Sheriff Thomas Brown will head the public safety subcommittee, which will review the police and fire departments, the jail and the courts. Members of that committee are: Rev. Jerry Black, former Police Chief Bobby Burgess, Geraldine Champion, Tom Coleman, Jean Douglas, Steen Miles (who ran against Ellis in the Democratic Primary in July for CEO), Dr. Anthony Tricoli, former County Attorney Jon Weintraub and Rocio Woody.
We believe these people should have a complete understanding of Terrell Bolton, his wasteful spending and the command staff he has chosen to lead our department into ruin. We will make every effort to provide ways to contact the public safety committee members.

Officers, Sgt,Lt's, and Captains....let us all realize the importance of Burrell's Committee (it is a good idea and going in the right direction) also keep in mind when the evaluation team speak to us, we are all honest about everything. This "team" can recommend a new chief or keep him. If you are not happy with the way the department is please let them know everything and don't be afraid to let them know the TRUTH and how you all feel. They will not report your name or where you work. If you don't want to talk with them call them and voice your concern, if not you will be writing on this blog a very long time. You can also call the members and set up an appointment to talk to them, if you need their contact information, say so.
UMmmm? Ok, how about providing their contact info???
Can you please post Burell Ellis e-mail again Margarita (Keisha) Williams needs to be the first to get her pink slip. There are things that he needs to know about coming in as the new CEO. Because she has known the chief since child hood that don't qualify her for a Director position.
So many questions...So few answers!
Is Ellis considering getting rid of PD and making us all road deputies?
With $13 Million from Dunwoody now gone, can the county afford to have both departments?
Any chance they'll bring back Dick Hand or Moody?
Does Pierson get along with Sheriff Brown? Do Moody and Brown have a good working relationship?
On a side note....
Wouldn't you like to be there when Bolton gets a "request" to appear "in person" before the transition team. Bet he looks like that little kid from the Home Alone movies!
Hey while we are working on the Police Dept.. You think Brown might straighten up the jail...Maybe take a J-1 or two with a hang nail????I mean what are they paying that nurse for anyway....
