Hmmmm.....no real opinion on most. They're mostly names that are just that...meaningless names that could have been numbers.

I did note that another Lt. jumped ranks and got promoted to Major. I'm just waiting for the first Sgt. to be promoted to Major.

I can say with confidence that Major O'Brien is a man that is honest, professional and full of intregrity. So good for him.

I've never worked directly for Asst. Chief Rancifer, but he appears to be very intelligent.

A friend of mine with APD said Denson was a stickler for rules.

Out with the old and in with the new....I don't know if it is for the better, but we now have Change.

Isn't this the second ride for Major for O'Brien? What's up with that? I thought Dedrich was in like Flint...whats up with that too

Well at leastt now we have a captain in Animal Control, I was worried that there wasn't going to be a captain over there and was losing sleep over it, thank goodness.
It looks like East Precinct Major equals soon to be Dep.Chief, so I guess it will be Dep. Chief Thomas soon, not that that's bad, though. At least he has always been fair and competent from what I have seen and heard of him.

They should pipe circus music in every precinct and hand out programs because you have no idea who is in charge day to day.

A long time I would have been very proud to be promoted to Major or Assistant or Deputy Chief. Not now. Those ranks have been cheapened beyond belief. Chief Jimmy Stanley must be doing top spins in his grave. God bless him. He was a real Chief.

D.C. Thomas may be a nice guy, but he is another placed in a position of command with no command experience in the streets.
Of course the poor captain at East Precinct will be forced to play puppet master until a real issue comes up and has to make the unpopular correct decision. Of Thomas will be exposed and the captain transfered. The beat goes on.

The bottom line is , what would you do if you got the call? Say NO, then wait for the punishment transfer. How many police supervisors do they need in ANIMAL CONTROL.

The ones from APD , they don't know us and we don't know them. Take a APD Lt. and make them Asst Chief or Deputy Chief is a slap in everyone one promoted by the DeKalb Merit System and Auburn University. It appears that Dekalb Police ( in house )do not have anyone qualified that's meets our chief qualifications.

We have a Major and Captain and Lieutenant and Sergeant and MPO officer in Animal Control. We are missing a police officer II. What a waste of manpower. I forgot the Major was a Lieutenant -
with a cute smile and that got her in the slot. When will it end?

Qualifications? Being black seems to be working.

Qualifications?

You forgot to add "Driving Vernon" to that list of what makes one a good candidate for Deputy Chief, Major or Asst. Chief.
