Another Front Page Post

To my DeKalb County family, hold your heads up and pray, the light is at the end of the road. Hopes are that the road is ending soon for our so called leader. I think the Mayor of Dallas said it best when she called Bolton an "idiot" in a news conference.

Hopefully with the new CEO, things will be corrected. Captains, Majors, Assistant and Deputy Chiefs will be put back in there prospective places, while un-knowledgeable, un-skilled, and un-deserving majors and chiefs, and deputy chiefs will also be put back where there belong. You know it's sad to see high badge numbers as Captian's and Majors (when you haven't deserved it). Policies, guidelines, and procedures that have been changed will hopefully be corrected. I mean really, I have been in law enforcement for a number of years now, and I have never heard of a Sgt. who has only been a Sgt. for one year to be eligible to take a Lt's test. I mean really, what does he know as a Sgt. for one year. Who is Bolton trying to promote now? Ridiculous!!

This Police Department has really changed since Bolton has come into power and it is not a change for the better. I am not a negative person and would never wish anything bad on a person but I hope the day will come when Bolton is -42 from Dekalb and move on to a new venture in his life. Bolton you have wasted enough money, humiliated enough brass and high ranking officers by demoting them or sending them to manage departments where there expertise can't be used or expanded. It is really sad.

I'm staying with this department because I love DeKalb and I'm praying that the new CEO will make the necessary changes. I have been offered other opportunities with other non-local agencies, but I am staying here a little longer. DeKalb County attorneys please don't be afraid to battle Bolton in court if he is terminated as a merit protected employee. Dallas won and so can we.

To Dale Russell, thank you. Thank you, for bringing recklessness to the light. For us, if we identifiably voice our opinion we know that we would have to face Bolton, therefore, this is our only outlet. I just pray that what we want to take place, will, and benefit the employees, and citizens of DeKalb.

End Note -I am aware that I am not speaking for all....

I agree with many of the items listed but I'd like to take it a step further. Thank goodness we are finally getting rid of Vernon Jones. The man has caused total devestation to this once proud police department and DeKalb County.

Lets see, he ran off Chief Moody after he wouldn't lie to the Grand Jury. Then he hires Graham who's main contribution was reopening the Wayne Williams case (what a joke that was) and then resigns for taped racist remarks. Not fired mind you, Vernon was only upset because the taping actually occurred. Then we get Marinelli who is used by Vernon until he can be replaced by Chief Bolton. We all see how well Chief Bolton has worked out.

To continue the saga we get 3 yes 3 former drivers of Vernon promoted to Major or Deputy Chief. This is just the police department, I understand other departments are just as bad off. Then the county has overpaid 20 million in contracts, somehow lost track of 90-100 million in ticket revenue and all employees lost their merit raises with the implementation of this so called pay for performce crap.

And lets not forget the best part. Vernon was so able to infuriate a number of its citizens that they went and made their own city. So now the county has lost Dunwoody and all of that tax revenue. I will give the citizens of Dunwoody credit, atleast they voiced their displeasure unlike the blind followers in the other parts of the county.

Well Mr. Ellis you've got a tough job ahead of you. Your county is flat broke and busted. Maybe I'd feel a little more sorry for you if you hadn't been part of the process. It wasn't until recently that you started to oppose Mr. Jones on many issues. Hopefully now that you are CEO things will change for the better. Pardon me if I'm just a little bit skeptical.

It seems obvious to me that the writer of this post is speaking from the heart. He is not just spouting off out of anger, although I can understand why DeKalb officers are angry. The writer used the word, “sad” in his post and that also describes how I feel when I consider what Bolton and his horrible command staff have done to this once proud department. Yeah, I’m angry also, but it is sad how good men and women, both black and white have been treated by the gangsters Vernon and Terrell.
I also love DeKalb and I plan on staying to see the new CEO bring in a new chief AND a new command staff. CEO Ellis will need time and our support as he faces tough times ahead. I believe he will do the right thing. As for Dale Russell, I would also like to say thanks for exposing the arrogance. You can like Dale Russell or hate him, but regardless, he is damn good at what he does.
By the way, the writer of this anonymous post says, “I am aware that I am not speaking for all…” Yeah, I guess you are right; you are probably only speaking for about 95% of us.

For a so called leader to go on a mini vacation when two of his men are killed in the line of duty. To grand stand at a church and make an ass of himself, come to find out you were not even in town, you left the day after they were killed. You go buy 6 buses to fight crime, a joke like you! You start a ICP joke unit. It took Dale Russell to put you on Front Street for your travel and time off, good job Dale! You hire all of Atlanta's misfits to run this place even further in the hole. You send us to Houston TX to train hell; you should have sent us to Atlanta, save a little money TeeBo. You have not done one good thing I can think of. Teebo take your funny hair cut, twisted talking ass back to Dallas. The day is coming soon and we are going to help you pack your trash. Can someone tell me one thing good he has done?

In 1992 the Dekalb DA requested officers to be present for the sentencing of one of the gunman involved in the 1991 shooting death of Off. Wade Barrett.

Only two Sergeants showed up. No command staff. So Tebo's action is no surprise. You guys handling the the real work on the streets be careful because your death will only be a photo opportunity for the politicians and some of the command staff.
