Interesting this additional article from AJC points out that 'crime is down'. Maybe for one month, but when you look at it year to year it's on a ridiculous increase!

We can only hope that they recruit someone who has the skills to lead this department. We do not need friends to lead this police department. True leadership has to be people who can direct us to a solution of our problems.
