Somebody has their numbers wrong. 1011 Tasers, up from 771?

Here is the Commission meeting agenda for January 27, 2009. It was not posted on the county website until today. Anyway, someone is claiming there are 1112 sworn personnel and of those, 1011 are first responders with the rank of Sergeant and below. You mean there are 1011 officers on the street?

Either someone has made a gross error in calculations, or someone is cooking the numbers for an alternative purpose.

No action was taken by the Commission. Proposal was deferred to Public Safety/Gen Govt Com for January 29, 2009

Slamin Ethel has a little something to say about the alleged 1112 officers.
Are you freakin kiddin me? show me when they are on duty and I will gladly shut my mouth. At best on any given day there can be no more than 100-125 officers county wide workin the road. Usually its less than that much less, and god help us at shift change.
Yes we need tasers bad, but again I ask why cant I just buy my own. It makes good sense to use confiscated money why not, it was gunna be used to buy drugs anyway or fill someones pockett.
But again the BOC fiqures its not worth discussing so it was tabled once more.
You people (BOC) are pethetic you took an oath to serve the public but yet every decision you sit on your thrown and make is for the worse.
You should all be impeached like that corrupt Bolgovich. The numbers are all lies I can produce at anytime watchlist that proves that actual officers working the street, and I can assure you its not in the thousands more like the teens.
So I say to the people of Dekalb ARM YOURSELVES we cannot protect you, but we can show up after you have become a victim and either stitch you up or take a report. Which will merely sit on a detectives desk who is grossly overworked with the hundreds of other cases before you.
And again a big fat shout out for the nice lady who stood up for what was right while all the lame duck male species who call themselve's men watched (PANSIES).
