Atlanta CBS 46 tries to play catch up

Almost a year ago, we here at DeKalb Officers Speak brought to everyones attention how Kiesha Williams was seen driving her county issued Ford Crown Vic after having her fair share of margaritas at La Fiesta restaurant in Douglass County.

CBS 46 persuaded the story but was intimidated by Bolton and held the story. CBS 46 also aired a story about Bolton’s improper use of Comp Time, but dropped the ball by not following through. It appears they took Bolton at his word that it was earned.

But then comes along Dale Russell of Fox 5, who has proven investigative techniques, which include being persistent as well as not being intimidated, especially by the likes of Bolton. We see the results.

Anyway back to our point. Now that Bolton and Vernon are out the door and toothless, CBS 46 decides to run the story about Keisha and her escapades at La Fiesta.

They should have done the right thing to begin with, instead they bowed down to VJ and Tebo.
For this reason I will not watch CBS 46 any longer, you knew you had a great story to report but you failed in your duties.

Any press that helps to expose the wrongdoings of Chief Bolton is good press, even if it is late.

The AJC is running a headline that states that Bolton intends to answer the CEO's charges, though right now it just links back to the same article about the fight going on. I can't wait to see what he has to say.

Good sleuthing Agent 99. The AJC headline: DeKalb chief bids to save job.

Looks like David Simpson got the scoop. Oh wait...that is because he's in Bolton's pocket.

How does CBS 46 think their buried report - that never saw the light of day - had ANYTHING to do with what this website, Dale Russell, and a whole lotta praying did to expose TeBo for what he is, was, and shall always be: an arrogant jackass with an idiotic grin, a complete lack of management knowledge or style, and a striking resemblance to a mature Gary Coleman. "What chu talkin' 'bout, Ellis?" Ha - so long, TeBo...and take the Atlanta trash and Kool-Aid drinkers with you!

CBS 46 fought hard for dekalb's police rank and file to report the truth. About Bolton's living in an rv, not paying ad valorem taxes, about requiring mandatory overtime, about his purchase of the luxury rv's, about the failure of the 911 system and yes about Keisha. Did you also forget about all the stories cbs 46 did about chief graham? All the good 46 did, and now from you, "thanks for nothing.". Perhaps you missed the presser from ellis about how this was all initiated by 46's keisha investigation. It's unfortunate that the story didn't make air until now, but it still made a difference. Yes, 46 should have aired the Keisha story last year, and yes they bowed, but in the end the story got told.

It appears that 46 did report what was going on, but never really followed through like Dale Russell and Fox5. Simpson at the AJC is losing credibility in DeKalb with his sympathy to Bolton. Now that we have Bolton on the run, perhaps its time to start looking at good 'ole Vern and his staff. Gwen Keyes, DeKalb DA is pretty good friends with Vernon and was rumored covering Jones during the alleged rape investigation. However any DeKalb citizen can request a grand-jury investigation from the DeKalb DA and the DA must provide justification for dis-approving the request. Hint, hint! (Don't live in DeKalb, just work there and care)

In response to the post "Gwen Keyes covering Vernon", you are about as far in left field as you can get. Anyone with a little knowledge of the two will tell you better. There is no love between the two. Please don't use her name in the same sentence with vernon. She deserves better.
