This blog page was established so DeKalb County Police Officers including their family and friends may have a place to hold discussions, post news and vent without fear of retribution.

I wonder what it must feel like to stand in the unemployment line.
Just so you know Tebo, not one police officer around this place ever and I mean ever considered you a Police Chief. You are a disgrace OF A HUMAN BEING. I gladly give up my merit increase to fund the attorneys fees.
Rock on Chief O'Brien!
I'll issue my challenge to Bolton and his attorney again: Show us ONE uniformed officer (who hasn't been given a cushy job by you) who is sad to see you go!
Just read the updated AJC article on Bolton's termination. Another glorious example of Simpson's horrific, Bolton-lovin' journalism.
“I am proud of my record,”.....“I’m working hard to get my health back in order, and I look forward to being vindicated. And CEO Ellis will answer for this unlawful termination,” he said.
Forget idiot, Ex-Chief Bolton (LOVE saying that) is flat out insane!
The best line in Bolton's response has to be in regards to the siezed, luxury vehicles being relocated to his residence.
I quote from the letter.......
"additionally, the vehicles could be used by the Chief of Police for his own surveillance without using an unmarked but identifiable police vehicle."
Does anyone believe Terrell Bolton was ever out on surveillance while in Dekalb? Or even considered going out on one.
Okay, okay.....that claim might be supported by the "records" he uses to justify his comp. time.
I don't know who is more arrogant: Bolton or his attorney.
It is hard to believe this letter was drafted by an attorney. It seems more like a personal letter that wasn't really edited by a high priced attorney. Especially the part where the writer states "If you wish to appoint yourself chief...you need to attend the police academy." ME-OW!
It is a GOOD thing they didn't let Bolton have access to his office. Ship his personal items back to Dallas and mark the rest "Evidence".
So when the Chief was hired he was informed Comp Time was part of his deal? Well, then, let's go after the person who hired him too. He is exempt from earning comp time under county policy AND FLSA. Every GOOD police chief knows the rules of his own department and state and federal laws that would pertain to employees...right??!!
Going to wrap some fish...
There are some pretty arrogant statements being made here, and I have a feeling very erroneous.
Some of the readers of this Blog will be called to a court of law one day, and put on a stand in order to testify on behalf Terrell Bolton. If you didn't do the honorable thing while working for the chief, you will need to do the lawful and honorable thing when you put your hand on the Bible and swear to tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. What is the sentence for perjury these days?
Hmmm, when I had to apply for FMLA it had to be approved by HR and took a couple of weeks to get a response, how is it that Tebo can have his FMLA started simply by submitting some forms that aren't even the forms used by the County???
I just feel sad all together about the whole situation. I use to date a Dekalb police officer and I am very aware of the complaints and fustrations alot of Dekalb officers feel. We (dekalb residences) have had to see alot of embarassing things over the past years in out county. first, Derwind Brown was killed in his front yard over winning the sherriff seat, which is crazy. It was a senseless murder that Sydney Dorsey is now serving life for. Them Chief Moody left office with a few rumors and circumstances surrounding that. And we all know all the drama behind the exit of former Chief Graham. But he needed to leave because you definitely cant have a chief leading his team that makes racist comments behind closed doors. Next was the back and forth between Chief Bolton and CEO Burrell. That in itself was embarassing to see @ grown ass men go back and forth, basically over nothing. I feel the whole thing is just a situation that stems from CEO Burrell's strong dislike for Bolton. Now Bolton is fired. Its just one thing after another in Dekalb County. I pray the police department will eventually get a strong chief that all the officers like and respct and lead th department to a higher moral ground of respect and integrity. Because it's chaotic right now. If I was interested in becoming a police officer right now, you couldnt pay me to join Dekalb Police! And thats just real talk. But I will keep praying for strong leadership from someone who can jump in and take the reigns and immerse theirself wiht the needs of the officers and the Dekalb community.Thank you and I will keep praying for the Dekalb Police Department.--Nat
Gotta give it to ex-Chief Bolton...he didn't cry this time.
I honestly have to ask everyone here, doesn't Terrell Bolton look like Gary Coleman? LOL!
