Burrell Ellis: We have to stand together

Finally, it looks like the criminal activities of Recorders Court is going to be investigated. ( AJC story) Just when we are wondering how the missing 90-135 MILLION dollars is not an outrage to anyone in government or the citizens of DeKalb. (DeKalb loses track of traffic tickets)

After the millions of dollars was discovered missing, Terry Phillips, who had a major management role in Recorders Court, was moved to Bolton's kingdom on the 4th floor. Hmmmmm

HOLY MOLY...what happened to the original $40 to 60 mill estimates....wait, those figures were VJ's right? Start calling your commissioners, and demand some answers so this doesn't roll into 2009 too.

So basically with the $40 mil were supposed to be in the whole as far as the county goes, if we were able to locate even half of the missing recorders court finds, maybe, just maybe we could afford to pay for the proper equipment we need and if were lucky as hell, take care of that pesky insurance issue. So sad this place has been run into the ground. The only saving grace is the fact that when you start sending out resumes, heads of other departments around the country still remember what DKPD used to be and assume that it's still the same. Makes job hunting a little easier. There are a lot of really good officers that are still here, and I hate to leave them behind, but I've got a family to think about.
