DeKalb County Chief Executive Officer Burrell Ellis said Monday he still intends to fire police chief Terrell Bolton.

Ellis said he will send a termination letter to Bolton that will echo the allegations made in a “pre-termination letter” he issued Friday.

Ellis said he will act despite a warning from Bolton’s attorney that firing the chief could violate federal law because the chief is on medical leave.

Federal law my behind!

It didn't work for Keisha and it won't work for him.

If FMLA prevented you from being fired for cause, don't you think every other deadbeat would be racing to their doctor's office?

Heck, the shishter lawyer syndicate would have an industry that would rival that of the Personal Injury and DUI attorneys.

Good riddance.

I hope Bolton saved the insurance money he got for his unregistered, burned up RV....he'll need it for attorney fees, court reporters and investigators. Hiring a lawyer on a contingency fee does not mean its cost free.

If Bolton's attorney believes his story wait till all the employees come forward and tell the real truth on how he operated this department. He would be quick to tell you he has the power to fire anyone.

I wonder who his attorney was when he telling Dale Russell to call his attorney all the time. Wait did he not have one at that time. Well is that being untruthful?

Let him stay in Dallas
