Mr. Ellis, if Bolton will treat you with contempt and disrespect, as he has for the last several months, just imagine how he treats his subordinates. The people he appointed to high ranking positions are of like mind and character. We must move on from the Vernon Jones era and the sooner the better. EVERYONE knows what needs to be done, including YOU, so just do it. Get rid of Bolton and his horrible command staff! This police department is in desperate need of real leadership and we are counting on our new CEO to put those leaders in place.

Way to go Mr. Ellis!

And a big thank you to Doug Evans for reporting the truth and helping give DeKalb a chance to restore the department.

Tonight on Channel 2 it was reported that Bolton is in the hospital in Dallas. I guess he got a bad case of Ellis-itis!

thats a DOC

DOC? ...remember, that county manual is only "a guideline".

The chief has been publicly insubordinate since Ellis won the election....remember the public press conference and 50 or 60 something page response to the transition committee.

A professional would have scheduled a meeting and discussed that in private.

Bolton finally having to face some accountability and responsibility. No longer is simply just go write tickets and bring us revenue going to cut it for the DKPD chief. No longer is intimidating those who you don't like is going to cut it either as well as having your flunkies thumb folks because you got their back.

I'm glad to see the media is getting out of the Aileen Harris business of trying to be friends with everyone in high governmental positions and actually expose these people for who they are.

I guess we have to give Burrell time as he isn't irrational, emotional and a hothead like Vernon was. Keep the heat coming.
