There may be hope after all......

Sources are telling us not only has Bolton handed over his badge and gun, but all other issued equipment has been turned in, including over 80, yes that’s 80 uniforms, accompanying collar brass, and over 7 cars, including a Mercedes Benz and the missing Range Rover. He has been taken off the county email address list.

After reviewing the local media coverage, we see that upon Bolton’s arrival to his meeting with Burrell Ellis, he was upbeat with the same demeanor his current command staff has come to love and cherish, inserting God having a plan. Only thing missing was the Kool-Aide being handed out by Ben Gaither.

Funny thing is, after the afternoon meeting, Bolton was down in the dumps and didn’t have very much to say. In the morning session Bolton entered the building with an entourage. When he left the second part of the session, he had a high priced criminal attorney with him. Yes, a criminal attorney.

During an administrative hearing, especially an Internal Affairs investigation, and according to rules and regulations, we are not allowed to have attorneys present. But, if all of a sudden the investigation turns criminal, then there is the option for an attorney. What was revealed to Bolton in the first session that would cause him to run out and retain a criminal attorney?

God probably does have a plan for Bolton, but it may not be the plan Bolton wants.

Is this a new beginning, a new start? We don’t think his vision will continue, but we do have other visions.

Stay tuned…….

Interesting. Now that you mention it, he didn't seem quite so smug after meeting with Ellis.

Let's keep our fingers crossed. Maybe Ellis will hit a home run and this will somehow involve "other" parties. Someone remarked in another post something to the effect that "when you break one rat......" .

Who is conducting the internal investigation of Chief Bolton?

Is it.....

A) The Dekalb County Sheriffs Officer Internal Affairs Unit

B) The Dekalb County Police Department Internal Affairs Unit

C) The GBI

or

D) None of the above.

My money is on answer "A".

Personally the use of the SO by Ellis' office does more harm than good. Ignore the Bolton factor, bringing in the SO only politicizes this disaster even more. The relationship with th SO and CEO is a little incestuous.

Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end for this clown. I'm willing to bet that there is evidence of criminal wrongdoing.

Careful now....speculation is not conducive to a good ending.

In my humble opinion, he just didn't do a good job as Chief. He's great at glad handing and staning up in front of the media, but he is the chief, not head of ICP or the PIO. He's not a politician running for office.

Until I hear otherwise, he appears to have broken some administrative rules and did not perform to a level that was acceptable.

He rose to a level higher than his level of incompetence....IMHO

I believe letting DSO's IA do the investigation is a good idea. That butt-kisser Yarbro is TeBo's lapdog, so he won't do anything to hurt his massuh, plus TeBo will know everything before the CEO does. If the CEO is smart, and he seems to be, he will have to totally sweep clean the comand staff and replace them. If not, he will spend his time waiting for one of them to stick a knife in him. Part of me believes that the bunch there now is so adept at butt licking that most will land on their feet after this is over...Makes one wonder how they can stand to look at themselves in the mirror.

Hopefully tebo take old Maragrita Williams with him. They need to investigate her also. She was making all that money and never was at work. They need to investigate that and lock her and Te-Bo up together

We have some good people in IA and some who were placed there for a reason.

Remember the changes that were made when Graham was in power?

IA is nothing like it was in Graham days...that being said, I'm more comfortable with SO handling the investigation (if that truly is the case).

Let the GBI handle it, keeping it at the state political level and hopefully above county politics has greater credibility and reliability to the citizens.

I must have missed something. What has Yarbro done? Didn't know he was drinking the kool-aid.
