Have Cell Phone, Will Travel

Terrell Bolton has been caught red handed stealing money from the taxpayers of DeKalb County. As you can see in Dale Russell's investigation, Bolton claims to have been at work when in fact he was in Texas.

This information should be turned over to the District Attorney's Office immediately for indictment. But will we ever know if it is? If it is, will Gwen Keyes have what it takes?

Ms. Keyes did not hesitate to prosecute ex-DeKalb County Officer Anthony A. Robinson for stealing cash and lottery tickets. In fact, she is so proud of herself, Robinson's arrest and guilty plea is front page news on the official DeKalb County D.A. Office web site still today.

Recently some have defended D.A. Keyes as being a wonderful prosecutor, a friend to the police and defender of the public. Well, now we shall see.

I, too, noticed that Robinson's conviction has been the lead news story on the DA's web site for several weeks now. It's good he was prosecuted and that the public knows that the police are held accountable for their actions, but what the DA's office did was not some courageous deed, it was all but required since the video footage played on all the local TV stations.

While the DA's office is proud to let the world know about what happened to Robinson, citizens of DeKalb were upset with the DA and Judge Adams for the sentence being too lenient. I remember a TV story where the reporter asked people at the Citgo station what they thought about Robinson receiving no jail time and only probation, and none were too happy.

So, Robinson's case is just another example of the justice system in DeKalb allowing criminals to avoid serious punishment for their crimes.

I'm not holding my breath waiting for the DA's office to prosecute Bolton.

Gwen Keyes has never been and never will be a friend or supporter of anyone other than her over inflated EGO......Geez when will she be gone....I am willy to bet there are no decent honest hardwrking folks in DeKalb politics brave enough or smart enough to prosecute Lil Arnold for his obivous theft.

Dale Russell, You are 'me hero! You have saved the county millions in attorney fees! Whoo Whoo! Bolton just went down in flames and can't bail out. A great day for DeKalb and its citizens. I propose a motion by the CEO and BOC to make April 8 the official "Dale Russell" day for the county in appreciation of his service to DeKalb County citizens. Gwen will have no choice but to investigate, and telephone records do not lie. On the down side, why didn't DeKalb investigators not discover this? They have easier access to the same records and I know for a fact the narcs use telephone records to investigate drug dealers, using telephone records is nothing new to investigators. Again, thanks Dale, you have done the county a great service! PS. Where the hell has the rest of Atlanta media when all this was happening? Haven't heard much from Simpson and the AJC, I hope they canned him in the last layoffs.

Dale Russell is a hero in DeKalb! BRILLIANT idea to check his cell phone records against his "work" schedule. Keep uncovering dirt on our dirty ex-chief Dale. Citizens of DeKalb thank you for exposing his his abuse of our dollars, and for giving Ellis more ammo to take to the Merit Board.

Yea, why didn't the S.O. or police IA boy's catch this? Maybe they need some thinkers in those units.

Imagine if someone clocked me in.... said...

Hmm....let see if we get a quick resolution to this development:

One of the following would suffice:

1) a dropping of the appeal by Bolton in exchange for "dropping the theft".

or

2) a press conference outside Mag Court.

Gwen Keyes doesn't have the cajones or competency to file charges against Bolton.

I've been retired for a year now...I like to look at this every now and then to see if there is any news on the people that I left behind..good, bad - or otherwise. I happened onto this and couldn't help but laugh. Don't dismiss the IA - or, any of our investigators. My guess is that one of y'all (or, a bunch of you) are feeding info to Dale Russell - to make it public. I wouldn't be surprised if someone is working with the CEO and Channel 5 thru one of you at the Dept. At least - that's the way they did it when I was there. Anyway - trust me - someone at the Dept. is helping Russell - we might even be surprised at who it is. It's not the DA you guys should worry about - it is how those dumplings on the Board of Comm. will act on this info. You guys that are helping - be careful. You know how things change when the wind blows in a new direction.

When will you all learn?

A public airing of criminal infractions and ethics violations don't result in a darn thing.

I'm still waiting for POST and the DA's Office to act on the public airing of GCIC/NCIC violations.

Geez - what would we do without Dale Russell to do Gwen Keyes job for her?
