Vernon Jones is a racist. Look at the law suits from employees at the Parks Department. Do you not remember the tapes from the phone conversation involving Joe Stone and Executive Assistant Williams. Where he wanted certain type of Fire Fighters. He made every one afraid to disagree with him. Even certain members on the BOC were afraid to cross him. We still have three still on that board. Mr. Ellis is a breath of fresh air.

I wish we could find out the real truth of Vernon Jones and his time as CEO of Dekalb County. I bet it would be a nightmare to all the citizens. We need the people who know the real truth to come forward and tell everyone the story on his under handed deals and threats.

We can only hope for an indictment , just like Bill Campbell. I guess time will tell.

Interesting that CL a liberal rag if I ever saw one, thinks Vern is a menace to society. After what he did to DeKalb, he sould be investigated on a multiple of issues and levels. I heard from someone that Gwen Keyes is not a fan of Vern's. Why didn't she perform more investigations on Vernon if she didn't like him? For that matter why didn't J. Thom who definately didn't like Vern. Seems sort of strange why the DA didn't stronger action on Vern's antics like the time he sicced Homeland security on the DA office believing the DA was surveiling him. They weren't. It was a big fiasco and revealed Vern's guilty conscience was resulting in obvious paranoria from the CEO. Vern will go down as the worst CEO ever in DeKalb history. I reccommend abolishing the position and use the county commission/county manager form of government. Maloof was the only one who could make it work. Its time to move on to the more traditional county government of 7 equal commissioners directing the county manager on policy and goals.
