New Feature: "Open Post"

Some days the news is just plan slow or non-existent. Our department seems to be in a lull right now, but the possibility of that changing is guaranteed. You have to remember, Bolton's appointees are still in charge and running the asylum.

So our new feature is "Open Post". Open post is to address rumors, speculation of moves and recent events. The basic rules are (borrowing a title of a book): keep the facts fictional, and the fiction factual.

Well our old buddy Bert must be out of town since you havent had anything bad to say about DKPD.
But what's the word on all of the aids having to drive their own cars to work?
Anyone know why the two Sergeants were transfered from North to Tucker? I think I will go to the Derby!

Open Post.... so much that I'd love to bring up, but I value being anonymous.

Let's leave it at... Nothing has changed. The citizens would be horrified if they only knew.

Dekalb Co PD has accepted bids on the new duty weapons, and based on the bid specs it looks like the Beretta 92's will be replaced with S&W M&P's in .40 cal. I'd sure like to hear why the county favors S&W over Glock. New short frame Glocks in .45 ACP like Sandy Springs PD and Dunwoody PD went with would be sweet!

I figured things are going to be quiet on the Western (or Eastern in Dekalb's case) front until the decision is made to return Bolton back to DKPD or uphold Bolton's termination.

Either way it goes, we all know that we are headed to Dekalb Superior Court.

I would love to see a top 10 list of things citizens do to anger the police. I may contribute that soon.

Not much from the public or the crooks anger me. That is just part of the job. What drives me nut's is the unbelieveable stupidity and lack of comon sense coming from witin the PD. DKPD is what drives me nuts! The job is hard enough, we need sanity coming from inside.

The 2 North sgts were moved cuz of sexual misconduct complaints with other officers. And one of them refused to write up an line officer exposure getting blood splashed in his mouth by a perp...just told him to use mouthwash to kill the germs.

Can someone fill us in on the situation involving a detective and uniform officer? The story I've received from several different reliable sources one of them being the Sergeant on duty who responded. The story goes as follows both officers were working a part time at "Scores" night club. The uniform officer asked the detective to back him on an unknown type call. The detective while speaking to one of the female club patrons stated he would be right there. The uniform officer returned from the situation to find the detective in the same location he left him still fraternizing. The uniform officer gives the detective a small tongue lashing. The detective gives back a couple of his on choice words. A small argument ensues which ends up with the detective pulling his county issued weapon and pointing it at the uniform officer. The incident was witnessed by several civilians one of which who dialed 911. Now if officers who have sex in uniform are fired why is this detective/part time perp still walking around the precinct as if the incident didn't happen? Is it because he is a detective?

A note from DeKalb Officers: The names of the parties have been removed until the story can be verified. This is not the first time we have heard this same story involving the same people. Stay tuned.

That sounds like a criminal investigation is warranted is the GBI looking into this?

It appears as if the incident involving the weapon being pointed is being swept under the rug. I strongly believe that upper management will fire the officer that ran our Commander In Chief. I pray that uses there brains and realize the other officer was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Just some time ago a female detective a south precinct ran her husbands mistress on NCIC. She then used the information to print out fliers(on the county printer) calling the mistress a home wrecker. Its not a surprise that she still has a job.
