Gwen Needs More Time

That's ok. We'll still be watching. We're not going anywhere soon.

Hey, despite "comments closed" on the Rainwater story, I'm still watching that too. Was a previous blogger right - if Dekalb Co. wanted to shut you down, they'd shut you down????

This blog has done a good job at exposing corruption and incompetence within the police department, but it has barely scratched the surface of the many problems within the DA's office. Gwen's incompetence and her lazy, pathetic cronies need to be exposed. With all of the traffic this site gets, surely we can get a ton of useful information to put Gwen in the hot seat! For example, is there any truth to the rumor she is trying to use I.A. statements against officers, even though the Supreme Court (Garrity) has ruled they can't be used??

Terrell Bolton tried to shut us down. He had someone trying to hack into our site. We received warnings from people out of Dallas to watch our back. And here we are, and he is unemployed in disgrace....again.

Legally, no DeKalb cannot shut us down. It would require criminal subpoenas requiring our host to release our information.

As long as we are not doing anything criminal, or post anything that would put an officer's safety at risk, or obstruct justice, i.e. O.J. Concepcion, we are in good shape.

And we seriously doubt our off shore host would honor such a subpoena.

As for closing comments; we do that from time to time for various reasons.

Yes, prosecuting a slam dunk case requires the DA more time... they don't know what to do when it comes to actually PROSECUTING instead of just offering up probation.

Our DA's SUCK!!

No wonder she needed more time, she's been busy 'crushing guns'. How about actually keeping the bad guys locked up, Gwen?

Don't waste your time. Gwen has a lifetime job if she wants it. Demographics rule. Also, the County government officers do not want a strong DA to watch and challenge them. Gwen fits the no/very slow action model perfectly.

Don't fall for the demographics argument.. remember VJ lost the black vote in Dekalb and Fulton in his Senate run because the people realized who he is/was. Don't sleep.. people in the end want competence and safety..

Does anyone know for sure or have a comment as regards OJ returing to Dekalb PD?

Gwen is going to save this case for her next bid for re-election to show how tough she is on crime. Paul Howard does the exact same thing, when he needs to get some good press, then all of a sudden, he's saying BOOK EM ALL. NO PROBATION, HAUL THEM OFF TO JAIL. After that, then its back to the same old, same old. How good is your lawyer?

More shady vehicle purchases by DCSS administrators. Gwen should have investigated Crawford lewis for his shady vehicle purchase, but they are buddies and Leadership DeKalb alumni, so she would never embarass Crawford, even though he got a $16,000 vehicle for his son at a price of $5,000.

Wasn't Bolton's SUV the same brand and model as those purchased by the county for Mobile Precincts?

Is an investigation warranted?

An investigation?? Gwen is much too busy NOT calling the family members of murder victims to let them know one of the murderers has been released on a ridiculously low bond with no monitoring! Keep up the "good work," Gwen!
