The LOSER couldn't win a senate seat and he won't win a seat in the house.
VERMIN!
After a failed bid for the Senate, VJ is in a rush to get elected to SOMETHING so does not fade into the background. Like Denise Majette when she found out that no one outside Dekalb wants her in office....and then only to boot Cynthia Mckinney out.
Was not much of a judge either.
Ahhhh Vernon needs to get a REAL JOB. The gravy train has stopped and his money must be running out. No more freeloading off the ignorant.
He needs to go out and "produce something" or offer a service that is needed by the masses.
Not to slight those in retail, but I'm sure Best Buy or Appliance Mart are probably taking applications.
He HAS to have a political position somewhere...he has no other job skills. Besides, if he doesn't have the supposed "protection" enjoyed by all elected officials, he is fair game for being indicted.
I can hardly wait. It is going to be so much fun watching Hank Johnson, Vernon Jones, Connie Stokes and Lee May going free for all to get elected.
I think this blog and Dekalb cops in general should do everything we can do to make sure this piece of trash is never elected to anything. I know I will be doing my part!

We heard about that for years. He's been out of office for a year and still nothing.
I think "indictment" is a pipe dream.

Jones needs to go get a real job for a change....remember what he did to Dekalb County...the loss of Dunwoody...Never mind...This is Delakb County...They have a bad habit of not learing from past mistakes.
Please don't refer to him as Vernon Jones. it's Vernon "TeBo" Jones.
Will TeBo come back and campaign for him?
Vernon is an artful liar. He had a balanced budget ... sure. Property values doubled and the State added money. He spent every penny and issued $400 million in bonds. My taxes more than doubled. Plus, he left the County with a possible multi-million bill in his reverse racial discrimination actions. The County Commissioners are not much better. They raised no objection
Maybe Vernon can claim as one of his accomplishments that while he was CEO that on his watch DeKalb lost the tax revenue from Dunwoody because they felt that they were not being represented and that their tax money was going to other parts of the county.
Or maybe Vernon can tout his other big accomplishment that the county was sued for racial discrimination in hiring practices (cases still pending).
Or maybe he can tout that there were 5 police chiefs in 8 years and that his last brilliant choice was a guy he chose even though his own search committee did not consider him as a finalist that had recently been fired for insubordination.
Vernon Jones and his ilk such as Ann Kimbrough his former "chief of staff" are the reason that DeKalb took so many steps backward compared to the other counties in the area. I believe we now have a competent CEO. I wonder how long it will take for DeKalb to recover from Vernon Jones the most incompetent public official I have ever witnessed in my entire life.
Some turds just won't flush.
Let's see. He ran for Senate. That didn't work because the majority of Georgians thought he was not the best to represent them from this state. So, it looks like he decides he should pull back to the more local crowd and run for the house instead. Does he think running on his record with people in that district is a good thing? Lord, I hope they keep that in mind when they go to the poles. If they do, they will know that IT IS NOT GOOD!!!

Are there any "Friends of Vernon Jones" left? Contributing money to his campaign makes as much sense as putting cargo on a sinking ship.
I kind of figured Vern would get himself appointed to some cushy state job as a "gang-expert". The peter principle is coming into play. Vernon's ambition and ego far surpasses his competence or ability, and his ethics do not exist...

I can't believe Connie Stokes lost to Vernon! That's really pathetic!
Is it a reflection on Connie Stokes or the voters?
So now he's lost a Senate race and a House race....wonder what's next for our boy wonder.....
Like a bad nickle, I'm sure he'll surface again.
Vernon is setting his sights lower and lower. Within three years, he'll be running for the office of Ms. Watson's 3rd Grade Class Treasurer.
