They do not care, they still have their jobs. I mean heck thats only about 3 jobs anyway right. 3 families that will now have to go on the federal governments dime just to buy food for their kids. But I bet that wallpaper will look damn good. Good Job BOC. You all need to be impeached! That includes you ELLIS.

I have a cost-saving idea. Please share your input.

When our patrol cars get wrecked, how about we just leave them primer grey? Or primer black? Whatever that part of the car requires. We could save on the paint and clearcoat that way. And instead of re-decaling the car, we could just use permanent marker instead. Or a stencil and a can of spray paint.

Man, this would save the county taxpayers hundreds of thousands of dollars!

Necessary maintenance is understandable. But, instead of contracting a contractor to come in and wallpaper, why not instead have a facilities maintenance employee already on the payroll paint on a coat of kils. That will sustain the wall to protect it.

Warrant issued for DeKalb County commissioner
by Pete Randall on January 21, 2010

DeKalb County Police, during an automobile accident investigation on LaVista Road Wesnesday night involving DeKalb County Commissioner Sharon Barnes Sutton, learned that she has four outstanding warrants for writing bad checks in Gwinnett County from January, 2008. Interestingly, after learning that the warrants were active, DeKalb’s finest did not arrest her.

The four warrants all appear to involve bad checks written at a Costco in Duluth.

Court records show Sutton also had previous problems with bad checks. In 1996, she pleaded no contest in Gwinnett to writing bad checks to West Building Supply in Stone Mountain.

Sutton, who represents District 4, did not immediately return phone calls left at her office nor an email. She also did not show up at a commissioner’s meeting on Thursday.

A spokeswoman for the county said she could not comment for the commissioner.

As of 4 p.m. today, her name does not appear on booking records at the Gwinnett County Jail. Nor has her image appeared here.

Why didn't Sharon Barnes Sutton go to jail for the 4 outstanding warrants that she had? Why did the police lieutenant release her instead of arresting her, as is procedure?

Well ......Mr. CEO.....just like Vernon, Mr. CEO....aka Lil Vernon, some things do not change.

Are you not Mr. Ellis or like the former who live by his TITLE.

Some things never change.

Vernon's Oval office" wallpaper was 400 bucks a roll. If the county wants to save some money, here is an idea. administer county politicians office and furniture identical to county employee policies and regulations. Judge Workman used eight fracken' shades of paint in her temporary courtroom in the Callaway bldg. Eight shades! Interior office standards for elected officials are in the executive range, private bathrooms, expensive offices and furniture, flat screens on every commissioners wall, expensive woodwork, nothings too good for our elected officials.
Now the really cool thing is that when these officials leave office they get to take their office furniture with them for pennies on the dollar. Instead of the furniture being turned over to surplus for disposal or recycling, the furniture is offered to the official as surplus. Isn't that special! Wait it gets better! If the official is issued a vehicle they get dibbs on that also. Maloof and Levitan both somehow ended up with their county issued vehicles....
Meantime the county can't even fix leaking roofs at the Auditorium or the Tom Scott building. Speaking of Tom Scott, Just how much did we waste on that huge sign anyway?

Ok...it's over! Ellis, commissioners, police higher ups...lets call it quits. "Cause I guess your best wasn't goooood enough" Let the State of Georgia come in and take over. It's always something and will never change here.

"Why does the county need to contract out hanging of wallpaper? What does physical plant management do?"

I hear ya, but why do we even need wallpaper to begin with!!!???

I'll tell you why!
We are dealing with a different culture and administration these days and politics in general, where Bling is the Thing, dress to impress, multiple county cars and lavish office decor. I want you to know I got it going on when you come to visit me!

As some say, back in the good ol'boy era. They were acused of the same behavior... As a comparison; You think Manuel gave a rats ass about all that crap!? EXACTLY!!!
