John was a great police officer and a great supervisor. He had gut's and stood his ground. I think he probably sacrificed promotions by being his own man.I wish we had more like him but he was one of a kind. I wish you younger guy's could have known him. God bless him and his family. His pain is over. He will be missed. From an old retired guy.

Captain Ledbetter was a man who stood his ground and supported good decisions. I only worked for him a few different times in my career. I appreciated his leadership and what he stood for. He always had my respect.
