Burrell Ellis Now Has P.D. Watching His Home

When Terrell Bolton's smell came back to town, it caused Mr. C.E.O. to become concerned for his safety.

Tucker Precinct is now having to take two officers off the beat to guard his house. If Burrell has in fact been threaten, then Bolton needs to be in jail.

If Mr. Ellis is just worried that something may happen, then maybe he should arm himself.

Sheriff Tom Brown already provides a security detail for Burrell, can't they watch his house too?

Oh, and Mr. C.E.O; on more than one occasion when we have made arrest, we and our families were directly threatened with body arm and death. Can we get some protection too?

Is anybody tallying up the cost of his highness security? Will there be an overtime scandal like Vernon had?

Yep, we have to say it: The Madness Continues!

I wonder if Burrell is using the officers for personal errands yet? It's coming, just wait. Something is in the wind....these next few months will be be very interesting.

We understood last year, he didn't want DKPD watching his house because of Bolton. Now, with DKSO stepping up to the plate, you would think the Sheriff would simply allocate another deputy to the house for patrol duties. The mayors of East Point, Atlanta and other areas have done this before when they felt threatened and intimated. I understand executive protection but if Bolton is making threats, then he is the one that needs to be booked into jail. Hey Gwen, we could have avoided this if you would have indicted Bolton last year. You're so quick to indict employees, police officers and others. But those in the clique are overlooked.

So now, the residents served by the Tucker watch are two officers short every shift as DKPD is now house sitting. That means if Tucker needs more resources, some other beat is going to have to pull in an officer. I thought we were short on officers. Where is the outrage over this?

Well as Dekalb becomes the new Fulton County, there are several things to wonder.

Is Burrell and the BOC going to have DKPD officers serve as personal drivers as the Fulton BOC used to do? Remember, the BOC used to have officers from unincorporated Fulton come to Atlanta to protect them, take them to the airport, run errands and so on with the county manager giving it his blessing. Not to mention, the BOC members who lived in cities were given county police protection at their homes from time to time. Never mind these officers were not deputized to work outside of the unincorporated areas. Karen Handel stopped that practice and I loved her quote at the time. "If we are that afraid of the people who we serve, then we are in the wrong line of work."

As Secretary of State, Karen Handel also said that government is not a "jobs program." Gotta love her.

Anon2, great point and I would like to point this out to DeKalb political leadership that hiding behind multiple walls of security only insulates them from constituants and is counterproductive to efficiently "interfacing" with the population they govern. You will notice I did not say lead because DeKalb politicians quit leading a long time ago and now only rule their citizens.
GSU study? We don't need no stinking studies! The CEO and commissioners are out of their league and don't even realize it.
Citizen participation and good employees is the key to good government. Decatur and Dunwoody seem to understand the principle and their citizens are engaged in the process. DeKalb sadly cannot say the same...

Last night we had 22 calls pending with 13 officers (with two of them guarding CEO house) citizens had to wait over an hour for a response time. I got so tired of hearing "I called over an hour ago" I could make a song out of it. Oh, Mr. Citizen ask your CEO why did it take so long for police to arrive to your business that was broken into twice, It's because we had two officers guarding Elllis house. Sorry that your 42" televisions were stolen, but we had to protect him. One officer in front of his house and one in the neighborhood. I believe if he want protection 24 hrs he should hire officers and pay a part-time salary at least $30/hr.

We got rid of Vernon Jones and got stuck with Little Vernon.

If there is no police report documenting a threat against Burrell Ellis then he should bear the cost of hiring private security if he is that afraid.

I feel bad for you guys - you shouldn't have to be the fall guy for their stupid decisions. Hope most citizens realize that.
(dam I'm glad I live in Dunwoody)

Sally Mae Sue's business had been robbed twice in one month, a gun put to her head. Sally Mae Sue has to PAY if she wants security for her shop. At least $30 an hour. Just an observation.

If Burrell & Co. are that scared of T-Bo and crew he needs to:

A. Hire some units for off-duty security at his own expense.

B. Hire some units for off-duty security at his own expense.

C. Hire some units for off-duty security at his own expense. or

D. hire some units for off-futy security at his own expense!!!!

NOT USE TAX PAYERS DOLLARS, AND PULL UNITS FROM THE BUSIEST TERRITORY (TUCKER PRECINCT) TO SIT OUTSIDE HIS HOUSE TO WATCH HIM ROLL OVER IN THE COMFORTS OF HIS BED!!! When meanwhile, back at the ranch, units are going from call to call to call to call to call...He is just pathetic!

If Tebo is such a little wimp that he couldn't get up and walk out of the room when the hunger pangs hit, what makes Ellis think that he has the chunks to commit bodily harm against him? He surely can't have the funds to hire someone to do his dirty work - he's spending it all on lawyers.
Ellis - you have become a huge disappointment.

Really!!! Why and the hell does the DKSO provide several full time deputy's for the CEO's security detail? Funny, cause that NEVER, EVER, NEVER would have happened when Vernon was there. I guess Brown and Ellis are buddies! Vernon sure wasn't!!!
BTW, Did Manuel ever have a security detail? I don't think he was SCARED!

Who going to pay for all this extra security at the CEO?

I guess we just write it off like everything else in the county as....Who cares.

I think someone else has security that we do not know about.

Start checking our current leaders.

I want a TAKE HOME CAR , so I can have the county pay for my transportation every day.

All that's missing is Major Higdon's Magic Bus......it was a smashing success at Toco Hills, I'll bet those flashing blue lights would be a welcome sight for the CEO and his neighbors.

This is your doctor. I have your pregnancy report here, and guess what. You got knocked up.

Mr CEO can you at least put a cooler on your front porch so we can grab a drink. We actually have to call a 3rd unit over when 1 of the 2 units on the detail has to leave to drive to the store to get some water or use the restroom. The man will not even supply the officers with bottled water. Sad!!

I think he needs two more units to watch the back of his house....and maybe one each for each side. Get it covered good. Does he get an escort to the grocery store too?

Why leave to go to the bathroom? Knck on the man's door. He did say that he had an open door policy.

Tebo's lawyer said this is all for show to discredit the accuser. And she would know! Filing criminal charges over a year later in a last ditch effort to try to get Tebo's job back!
