Eddie Long’s boyfriend problem is perhaps the worst kept little secret in Atlanta. There are a lot of people who have known about this for a few years now. CNN is reporting that it appears that other boys will be coming forward in the near future.

New Birth Church just hired Don Frank to work in the security department of the church. This is the same Don Frank who is facing federal charges for taking money when he was a DeKalb officer.

Hard working people who are just barely getting by, give their money to this church. They give their money so that Eddie Long can drive a Bentley, live in a mansion, wear $3000.00 suits, fly all over the world in his private jet, stay in the nicest hotels and have sex with teenage boys. Disgusting!

And why do all DeKalb politicians feel the need to go by the church from time to time and kiss Eddie Long’s ring? Is he the pastor of a church or the ruler of Rome?

Well - there have been rumors for years about Long and his thing with the ladies - didn't know he likes young men as well - BUT - remember Vermin like to hang around Long too. Looks like alot of the so-called power brokers in DeKalb belonged to the switch-hitter club. Do you think Ellis is a member of that club? Hmmm...

The purple angels wings have been cut. Nice to know he fights against gay marriage, but has a marriage-like ceremony with these guys. Those who live in glass houses...

Look the last person I knew that wore purple suits were Prince and Flim Flam Flimister.
Of yea and Barney.

This really stinks for the bishop, once you have been tagged as a sexual preditor no one will ever trust you again.
Let alone think of you as a good person, weather your innocent or not. It's the one stigma that speaks volumes.

Let's not forget that Vermin and Eddie Long were frat brothers at the same college.

I'm hoping this isn't true but I had to react to some of the comments on here! First of all you give your tithes to God not a man. It's up to the church to do as they wish with the money however you give in faith and let God deal with the phonies. People shouldn't praise men as much as they do when that happens the men become the face of the ministry instead of God. Follow Gods vision and not the man. Have all of you that's writing negatively made sure that you are in good standing with God??? Do you read the bible and make it the final authority in your life?? Let he who is without sin throw the first stone!

I used to tell people who went to New Birth not to drink the punch! Now I'm warning them not to drop the soap!

Let's see if the extra jobs for this church are pulled. How does this look for the department to have officers doing an extra job for an accused/alleged pedophile.

And by the way, his "flock" and community will stand by him for one reason only. And it ain't because he's the preacher-man. They will vilify or payoff the boys in this. And talk about hush money in DeKalb. You ain't seen nothing yet.

I can just see the headlines now. Current and retired high ranking Dekalb Police officials knew of Bishop Eddie Long's abuse of boys but did nothing to stop it. An FBI investigation reveals Dekalb officials knew of these abuses for over 8 years and failed to act. AJC, Fox News, and other news organizations....There a story here. Get it while it's hot.

To the self righteous person who doesn’t like us talking bad about Eddie Long;

I have never, NEVER had sex with young boys or middle aged men or old men either for that matter. Can I throw a stone now?

Some of the high ranking DeKalb authorities who hung around the Bishop may be at fault but I completely fail to see what this has to do with low ranking police officers who do nothing but direct traffic at the church.

Well if it is being investigated and tried in Dekalb County I'm sure you can all guess the outcome.

He's going to walk out on stage to a standing ovation from his thousands of sheeple. He could admit to everything and then some more, and he'll still get a standing ovation in the end.

His defense is that the accusers care about only one thing. Money. I wonder where they could have learned something like that! Who could have inspired an obsession with money? Could it be the guy in the mirror puffing up his pecks, sucking in his gut and taking a cellphone picture of it?

And you all thought NYC was the rotten big apple. Dig deep into DeKalb and you will find many more moggots in very high places. And if you think this as all racial, think about that other most high exalted right reverand earl paulk and his congregation of sheeple. "Club New Birth" has been around for years taking money from the hard working citizens so they can be "part of the club".
The citizens of DeKalb have been used and abused for decades by these types of folks; And every election year the continue to vote them, or other fools just like them, back into office; And every sunday they drop thier money into the collection plate (or have it deducted directly from thier pay)in church and give what little they have.
What do these good citizens get out of all this? Have you noticed when you tell others that you are from DeKalb you get an odd look? Or, are you still asleep and drinking the koolaid?

And they keep coming. Another just filed a lawsuit. I wonder how many more.

Does this change the county policy for his sons never getting arrested? Are we to continue to let them go when we catch them committing crimes?

@anon 8:03...Do tell! Don't be selfish.

Oh yea criminal allegations were brought up before but of course they were brushed under the rug. Ops now let's see the scramble to right this major F UP. This will be huge wait and see. I bet Ms. Keys is glad she left.

I always knew Don Frank was strange, exspecially the way he looked at men/boys....I guess now that he is working there he can have a clean concious about it..lol..he can confess his "sins" to Eddie while there switch hitting!!!

I have never understood the rise of the mega-churches. Religion to me has always been personal. When you are a member of 25,000 person church, it seems to me that you no longer have any individuality and are simply a member of the collective. Never made much sense to me unless you are a mega-church executive pulling in the mega-bucks.

Churches have always wielded tremendous influence in the local community. DeKalb was a dry county until the '70's when even a blind man could see the county was losing big alcohol tax revenue to citizens driving to Fulton and Gwinnett to buy their booze. The Churches lost in their bid to keep the county dry. In retrospect it was immediately afterwords that DeKalb government began it decent from number one to dysfunctional.

Churches provide a moral compass to the community but when a church becomes so large, the revenue so big, it is easy for the executives to lose sight of the original goal of ministering the faith to the believers.

Then we have the local politics, any organization that can deliver 25,000 votes to a local politician can and does wield considerable political power over local politicians.

If Long is dirty, and it appears it was common but unspoken knowledge that many of his improprieties were known by DeKalb politicians and covered up. DeKalb rulers could be facing their own version of "Water-gate".

Unless the alleged victims were under legal age of consent, what EXACTLY is being investigated or illegal?

Loflyer...u comment about everything and you seem to know about everybody and what they are doing good gracious!... you know all there is to know about DeKalb ..government...90 budgets.... please run for CEO...

Anon 9:42: Haargh! You have to be kidding me, If you only knew! CEO Ellis banned me from his office a week after he was installed, I had made some candid comments to his staff on the poor maintenance of county facilities in reference to Ellis's new and expensive offices to his staff and a week later my "authoritative" knock to gain entrance to his office in the absence of a receptionist or a door bell was what really did me in. I scared the hell out of the CEO and I found out later I was seconds away from arrest. The next day my boss sat me down and gave me the word. I was banned.

No one can fix the problems of DeKalb government under the present political climate within DeKalb. Not the CEO with his spend till they drop attitude, nor the commissioners with their one party elitest agenda that no longer jibes with majority of DeKalb citizens on common sense issues.

Abolishing the CEO's position will change nothing in DeKalb politics. The change must come from it citizens in voting in responsible, competent leadership.

The rainbows and unicorns promised by DeKalb Rulers went down in flames years ago. This is about pure survival of DeKalb citizens quality of life and standard living.

DeKalb citizens are losing every step of the way, and until DeKalb citizens start voting and electing leaders based upon character and competence rather than color and connections, then DeKalb government, its rulers and citizens are truly screwed.

You mean like they did back in the day right? I concur with your assessment of the need for good government. Here's a thought. Perhaps if the other major party wasn't so intent on playing the race issue they'd have more credibility getting the votes of hard working citizens of color. All people like a choice.. All people enjoy the fruits of competition.. But also all people haven't forgotten the past..

Anon 11:48, in case you forgot, it was the other major party that voted in the civil rights act of '65, the cornerstone of equal rights and responsibilities for all races within America. Most Democrats voted against it.

Equal rights in DeKalb county government does not correspond with the demographics within the county. The Hispanic and Asian population is hugely under-represented in the DeKalb employee population. The white employees are going out the door as fast as possible and are generally replace by blacks.

Walk through DeKalb County Jail and you will see almost zero white people, especially employees.

Take a tour of the CEO's office and tell me how many white people you saw.

What I find truly ridiculous with the Democrats in control of DeKalb government is their platform of support for labor and unions.

DeKalb employees are underpaid and overworked. DeKalb government opposes unionization at every step, degrading our pay and benefits, and yet the BOC and CEO's staff are magically exempt from the same policy and rules forced on rank 'n file employees.

Perhaps you need a course in ethics.

His community will stand behind him and like him even more for his actions just as they did Clinton. They can relate to it. Wow, he's an adulterer, pedophile, etc just like me.

A minister called for other ministers to come to Atlanta to pray for Bishop Eddie Long. Which minister will have the balls to call for people to come and pray for these young men?

In my opinion, Bishop Eddie Long is guilty of using his power to abuse these young men. I pray that god punish Bishop Long to the highest level of "spiritual law".

Let face one fact, there is not one elected official in office today that has not kissed the ring of Bishop Eddie Long!

Bishop Eddie Long will become the new face of child molestation. Move over Catholic Priests - Eddie Long is in the house!
