damn.....
Well I am one of the few left around here that can I say I worked with him and he will be missed.
Rest in peace Stanley.
God Bless You Gif
RIP Giff. You were definitely one of a kind.
He was a good man.
Rest in Peace Giff. I will never forget you wearing those shorts LOL.
There was only one Mike Gifford, he was unique and no one will ever match this guy. He will be missed and he was one of us.
He made some great posts on here under his own name.
Go in peace Giff. You were a mess, your balls dragged the ground, and I loved you for it.
Gifford was truly a good person, dedicated cop and very very smart. I knew and respected him. He called it like he saw it and was not afraid of anything. He will be missed and I pray he is in peace and his body is healed.

What a fine person and as someone said very intelligent with an unmatched sense of humor. I'll never forget one night on evening watch when Gif was 1310 mobile crisis unit. He went out to load up and the car wouldn't crank. He came back into roll call all frustrated. Someone remarked he was not mobile and already had a crisis. He cut that famous go to hell look. You will be missed. Thanks for the memories.
RIP Last thing I remember is his radio traffic at Huston's..."Radio...go ahead and start everybody"....CLASSIC!!!!!!
RIP Gifford......He was a man that stood behind his troops and he knew that employee manual every which way. Whenever the upper brass tried to screw with you, he was the man to go see.
I also heard CSI Kenneth Fye passed yesterday afternoon of a massive heart attack. Is this true???
Gifford was certainly one of a kind. Ran into him in the Lowes in Ellijay a few years back and hollered out his name. He stood still not turning around and then slowly did like he was going to have to brawl.....lol.
He was a good guy.
I am Giff's youngest daughter , Danielle. I know that my Dad loved his officers he worked with like they were his own family and despised the brass with as much passion.I stumbled upon this page by accident and am so happy to see that my father was respected and liked ( yes I know not by all :). I am proud and honored that my father worked with such amazing officers and will always hold the officers of DKPD with the utmost respect!! God Bless you guys and watch your six!!!
