This blog page was established so DeKalb County Police Officers including their family and friends may have a place to hold discussions, post news and vent without fear of retribution.
No trial for this dirtbag!!!!!!
I am not surprised.
Everybody remember this while you're working. It's a sober reminder of what could happen to any of us at any time. 10-0.
One thing is clear...Its open season on cops in 2011.....watch yourself, your fellow officer (s), and be wise when picking your battles out here on the street....chances are highly probable that the career perp you risk your life arresting one day will be out on the street within the week thanks to some of our perp hugger liberal judges , solicitors, district attorneys, and assistant district attorneys-Anon 1118
I say we protect our family. Let the perps run amuck on everyone else until political figures see how much this thin blue line is worth...
This guy was probably released on probation or parole. Please back your fellow officers on 10-48s. They are the most dangerous things we do as officers. You never know who you are stopping. Also, there is no hurry to stop a carjacking suspect. The more blue lights they see in the rearview, the better! I don't know exactly what happen and I will never second guess my fellow officer.
I hope this will teach us all to be extra safe and not be off guard at any time. Lets all hope that this dirtbag starts pushing up weeds soon. A long trial is a waste of funds and time.
One thing is undeniable - the incidents of life-threatening attacks against law enforcement are increasing. As a citizen, I hope that people will work hard to understand the challenges you face, how grateful they should be that you're willing to do it, and demand of our elected officials that you are given every tools you need to help keep you safe. Thank you all so much - you are very special people to me.
This guy and his brother have "bad blood" with the cops because their other brother was shot and killed by one a few years ago. If that brother's gun had-not-jammed when he pointed it at the cop, the cop would probably have been dead instead. Yeah, these are some real nice boys. Hard to fathom that there are people like that out there.
How many officers have been shot in their vehicles as of late? I think its time to start beefing these cars up with ballistic glass, kevlar lined doors, etc. to afford some minimal protection and cover instead of buying the cheapest thing available.
pretty soon - we're going to need "officer hunting permits" and make this a national past-time.un believable. UNBEILIEVABLE - how little respect the community has for police officers now. and I CANNOT believe these cars do not have ATLEAST bullet proof windows and ATLEAST a drivers side door that is reinforced. How can I take cover and shoot - bullets go through drivers doors over 70 percent of the time. and theres no way anyone can stay alert 100 percent of the time and 100 percent to the point where one can defend an un provoked attack by one or 2 well placed shots through a windshield. 10-0 my brothers. and really open your heart during prayer time on 10-41 briefing
The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office in south GA provides light armor on all its new take home crown vics. Every dime of it is payed for with seized drug money.
kudos!!! To the City of Doraville SWAT team, K-9 handlers, and crime suppression unit for responding 10-18 all the way to Athens and searching for this scum bag! They are still there working 12+ hour shifts.
I'm sure Dekalb would have responded if we didn't get our updates via one another's personal mobile devices.
Dekalb has more important things on its mind. Our "Myshitdoesn'tstink" Ceo doesn't want to let these fine officers of DCPD go to help other agencies in looking for perp outside of this county. That is not his problem. Just wait til the problem hits home, and we will see how many agencies come to help.Dekalb County has to save it funds for people who skip out on coming to work for long periods of time, go to Washington DC to make more friends from other areas of the country, spend some money that the county doesn't have on delicious meals, fancy hotels, first class airfare, etc. This is that wonderful place in the State of Georgia where everything flows right down the drain at taxpayer expense and nothing is done about it.The beat goes on........
