Well there you go. Can't pay for food without stamps, cant pay for rent without Sec 8, but will fight and kill to pay $180 for sneakers, that are made for $3 dollars in China... It was the same, in all the same type of neighborhoods through out the country.... Obamononic's at its best.

give it a yr and the sneaker will be worth $45.00 bucks at foot locker. what a waste of money.

Just wait for these perp kids to hit the ground on us and we can get a free pair that they leave in the road!

Yeah, and in the meantime, i'm waiting for the headline "man shot over his sneakers".
The world is screwed when people think a pair of damn shoes are more important than her children. She oughta have her tubes tied.

This occurred in several "URBAN" cities nationwide today. These people's priorities are seriously misaligned.

When I started here 20 plus years ago they were shooting each other over shoes and jackets on Memorial Drive. Here we go again a full circle, thank God retirement is just around the corner....

im surprised that many officers were allowed to show up on that call. Traffic stops and tickets take priority at East

New Major at East.... I'll withhold judgement till I see how he operates now that he is the head guy at a precinct...he was a "quiet" captain at South who took care not to rock the boat......hard to pass judgement on a captain who has to answer to a major.

These issues are STILL ongoing at East?

Where did the 22III go?

Lets all have a Merry Christmas by not having all this bickering amongst us and start a new year with less hatred.

Watch 1:06-1:10 and look at the officer on the right run....

Surprised this was at Stonecrest Mall. No shock if this would have happened at South Dekalb Mall. In regards to the priorities for the tickets, it will be plenty of makeup time for that. I bet there will be some campaign in collaboration with the Governors Office of Highway Safety to get in a bunch of tickets during the New Year Holiday.

Lets hope DeKalb puts public safety first this year and has a plan to attack DUI offenders so our families can once again have some sense of security for driving on DeKalb roads.

You must not got to Stonecrest much if this surprises you. For fear of losing the mall's anchor stores due to gang activity and out of control juveniles, Vernon posts about a half dozen cops there every day when he was in office, at no cost to the mall. Did he ever do that for Northlake Mall or Perimeter?? No, if they wanted security, they had to pay for it. Stonecrest has always been a shithole.

It took 5 days for this headline to appear in a Houston, TX paper: WOMAN'S FACE SLASHED, MAN BEATEN AND ROBBED OF AIR JORDANS!!

Anon 5:25. Can't believe an officer running like that made it out of the academy. JT would have made her cry then quit.

Everyones priorities are messed up! And we pretty much don't do anything about it. The thing that makes me "think" is that somehow the county can pay for matching uniforms just so that everyone can match for one weekend of training, YET they can barely seem to afford to pay for their oficers?! The sad thing is, we have gone so much farther then messed up priorities...

I see and read about all the turmoil in DeKalb and the commissioners treat you all like trash. I just wanted you all to know that there are a lot of us (citizens) that are so very appreciative of all your sacrifices and for helping to keep us safe. Please don't let these greedy thugs (aka Commissioners/Ellis) win by running you off. My children wave when you drive by, we pray for you at night and dinner, and we thank you for all the good that you put in to this county.
Please try and remember why you chose to be in law enforcement, you are an Officer to us. Thank you- An Appreciative DeKalb Family
