I am retired PD. Old school. I'm voting for Roger Pickens. William Pickens on the ballot. Robertson has served his time and needs to let some one else on the board.

Wasn't Brad Duncan part of the Farley, Flemister crew that was supposed to be indicted??

Already voted for Pickens....if - for no other reason - he used to run the IS dept. So...the other pension board members can't use that tired old excuse of theirs "our IS systems can't do that." Been to one of the pension meetings, heard it myself. Pickens will be able to put them in their place. PLUS - Pickens will be a good contact regarding the insurance debacle....Duncan is an ok guy...but, he and the rest of the candidates do not come with Pickens' background.

Ground control to Major Tom is my opinion of him.

I read the bios sent out by the county. Only two had contact information- Bridges and Pickens. I voted for Pickens based on his background and he made himself available by putting his e-mail address on his bio. One of my issues has been not having access to pension board information AND having access to our representative via phone or e-mail.

Candler Bridges, a lawyer. Enough said.

Im voting for Roger Pickens. He is by far and above all the other candidates in experience and ability. I hope he get's the job as our rep.

People use your vote wisely. Let's not forget Roger Pickens used to be the Director of Risk Management and was not very 'employee friendly'. He was 'pro-county'. And as for the insurance, the pension board has no control or vote over health insurance , so anyone running on that platform is already misleading us. Just saying........

Check the pension board website....it has all the pension board members contact info.....email and phone numbers. I have had no problem getting information from my rep.

We need a change on the pension board. I am voting for Pickens.

None of it will matter in a year or so because DeKalb will be declaring bankruptcy just like Birmingham, etc and there will no longer be a pension fund. Lord knows NO ONE around here will do anything about it.

Pickens. I want someone how won't miss the meetings and knows what he is doing.

It's sad that once upon a time if you happened to be fortunate enough to come out healthy from a career at DKPD you could bank on a fully funded retirement pension. NOW retirees have to wonder day to day if that retirement will remain intact for them and their families. Perhaps next generations will pay attention instead of blindly trusting a bunch of thieves.

The main thing I learned from decades of working for Dekalb Co...Don't trust anyone.

Anon Jan 2 10:22. Brother! You are preaching to the choir! I second the "do not trust anyone". We live, we learn --- by our own mistakes.

Current employees need to get out and vote for Sheriff Thomas Brown for pension board!!

Sure, in his hand written platform he misspelled "representative." But I am still going to vote for Thomas Brown to be my pension board "representive!!"

Only in Dekalb County!
