YMCA.....Letters Of The Alphabet Only

Once upon a time, the letters YMCA stood for Young Men's Christian Association. When you read the word Christian, you think of all things good and honest.

But the YMCA of South DeKalb has chosen to "honor" the unrepentant degenerate thief and liar, Commissioner Sharon Sutton as it's 2011 Tom Wilson Impact award winner. Giving this woman an honor of any sorts is a sin within itself.

Next they'll be honoring Gene Jones and Club Obsession for it's mentoring of the youth.

Strike the YMCA off our charity list.

Why the obsession with BOC? Citizens elect them (democracy) and there is nothing we can do about it unless you live and vote in DeKalb so let's stick to PD issues.

What kind of impact are you trying to say? Not knowing Tom Wilson, for what he is, or what he has done, it would be a disgrace of a major degree giving this or any award to Sharon Barnes Sutton. She is nothing more than a useless, bad checking writing parasite who can't spell, count, or even think of doing anything intelligent at any time. She is basically a disgrace to the citizens of Dekalb County and a useless individual with her fat head stuck up her ass, and this is putting very mildly.

When will the madness end? I will strike the YMCA off my list for sure! Only in Dekalb County does this happen. Will there ever be any justice? How does the saying go....No Justice no Peace! Will there ever be an investigation and indictment from the feds? Too many questions and no solid answers. I sometimes think I will give up, however, I still have some hope that one day these thugs will wear the orange jumpsuit and do the perp walk!

Everyone quick!!! Come out and look at the lights!!!

She must have given them some kind of name recognition for their support. They must not watch the news or read the AJC to see all her adventures involving tax payer money. She keep on doing the same thing with no fear of removal. Looks like the BOC must condone this type of spending by a commissioner.

For all those calling for investigation by the feds. The FBI field office is located right here in Dekalb.
Have any of you called them and shared the corruption in Dekalb's BOC, or asked what the FBI is doing about it?
Maybe is a couple hundred police officers called the FBI they would take notice.

Feds will not get involved unless called by the chief of police.GBI will not either unless done so by chief.

This sort of stupidity is nothing new in Dekalb. Remember, they actually named Memorial Drive as "Cynthia McKinny Blvd". Talk about a fine example of leadership for our youth to look up too. I know, lets rename all the streets, and all the rotten apartment complexes as well. It will make all that bad history go away forever.
But some of is still remember when DeKalb was a good and thriving place to live and do business, and YOU had nothing to do with making it that way, and you cant make us go away.
You fools in Decatur should, however, be given credit for the overwhelming mess you have created. Citizens of Dekalb.......Enjoy what your representatives have created!

Brilliant Brilliant, minds like these brought us Vermon Jones and Lil Burror Elfwit not to mention the current cast of clowns we call the B.O.C., Hey why not ask Cynthia McKinney and Hank (the tipping island) Johnson to come along. We could all sing along as Rome burns down.......

While we are on the subject of dumbasses, let's not forget our pension board, who allowed the last really stupid early retirement. I hear rumblings of another one comming to get older people off the payrolls. Never, never, never underestimate the stupidity of anyone in charge of anything in Dekalb County Georgia.
Have you heard of anyone on the BOC doing anything at all to try to keep Brookhaven from becoming a city. Please, someone tell me that at least one person on the BOC is at least trying to kiss some Brookhaven ass to stay with Dekalb County.

Huh Brookhaven they have already thrown in the towel! Burrell sat on the the last county commission that lost Dunwoody,is it any wonder why with the arrogance and stupidity that these idiots have that they did not not learn from the last time? Pure racial arrogance! I guess they showed all of those white people in Dunwoody who the boss was......Not....Next stop Brookhaven, hey maybe I can get a job?

All they really need to do to eliminate the highest salaries is allow retirement with no age penalty like every other 20 year and out agency and/or military.

Most of us remember the 1998 "all-American city" signs put up by good ole' Vern, I personally thought they were extremely mis-leading propaganda by Vernon at a cost of 200 grand to the citizens. The award was for an essay by the South Decatur YMCA extolling the virtues of DeKalb County, it had nothing to do with the reality that DeKalb had crappy government and was sinking fast. There has long been a political connection between the South DeKalb YMCA and DeKalb government.
With this background, it is unsurprising that South DeKalb YMCA gave this award to a unethical, and arguably corrupt politician.
If you are a member of the South DeKalb YMCA, this is a wake up call. Start looking into the politics and inner workings of the organization.
I suspect you will find some unexpected alliances and financial arrangements.
To Anon1 expressing the desire for this blog to stay strictly on DKPD issues. I understand your sentiment, but the reality is that DKPD is just one part of DeKalb government and its politics. The future of both are intertwined and irrevocable.
It really pisses me off every time DKPD officers clammer for a raise at the expense of other county employees sub-standard salaries.
While we might not get shot at, as with DKPD officers, county employees also take risks like dropping into asphyxiating sewers that can kill within seconds.
DKPD is an important cog in DeKalb government, it is not the only organization that makes DeKalb government work. DKPD is just a part of the total package.
For better or worse, DKPD is tied to DeKalb government politics.
Hiding your head in the sand as the county politicians gleefully run the county into the ground is your option.
It's your job, not mine.
The very best of luck mates!

Off topic - but can anyone tell us why so many officers responded to a call at Arabia HS on Thursday? We haven't been able to get to the bottom of it.

What's Up With Arabia?"

Are the kids safe?

Here's the scoop on Arabia Mtn High.

We've seen that post. Word from the kids tweets is that 10 DeKalb squad cars responded (they posted pictures) - some are even saying a kid was 'tasered'... are they exaggerating? Were you guys just being cautious? Why couldn't the school system's police handle this?

Read their tweets -
