God bless this officer, her family and APD. This terrible incident and the recent one in Dekalb co involving the Doraville officer, should be a revival of efforts in the Metro Atlanta area to really enforce DUI laws....to aggressively pursue the Drunk Driver. This is not just an effort for the DUI Task Forces or the Special Op's units of any department. There are officers not in these units who do not make DUI cases because it's too much trouble...remembr this if nothing else...your mom or dad, child or relative may be the next victim of a drunk driver.

And DUI lawyers make big bucks to make it as difficult as possible too.

Apparently not much interest in comment #1. They went right to "take home cars" and who is going to pay for sewing my patch's on" in the next thread "open comments". New generation of police officers I guess.
