Haaa this is funny as hell..He must of heard about our jail. Wants to be transfered so when he gets to the Sally Port he can go limp in the legs (not walk in under his own power) and get refused by the nurse. Heeee free ride to Grady, where he can plan his escape...Go figure.

Be patient, Mr. Hood. It'll be plenty warm enough for you where you end up.

Screw him...Give him no heat, dirty water, stale food and dirty laundry and see how he likes being treated like the sorry ass that he is.

What was the sense of shooting a police officer in the first place? He gave up his rights of being a human being right there. Maybe he should try to escape from transport custody.

The rights of citizens of this country have a right for a dirtbag of this nature to suffer more so than the good police officer who was killed in the line of duty protecting the citizens from this dirtbag. Its time for this dirtbag to start pushing up daisys and not worry about the lack of heat.

News FLASH!!!!

This is starting to get good people, but it seems that a plan is on the table to help reduce additional cost in the police dept.
It seems that SWAT & all the other units running around in their pajamas are going to have to start wearing the standard issue uniform...and yes this includes Gangs & K-9. Apparently the county can save significant cost by eliminating these pajama uniforms.

They looked at other agencies and found that several other departments have moved toward a more streamlined appearance and also found that it's very cost effective to only have one uniform for the officers. All officers...

The only exception seems to be for the pilots and the motorcycle officers.

If you think about it, it does make sense and several arguments were put out there about the versatility but it appears to have fallen on deaf ears. The argument was if the regular uniform officer can perform his duty in the current uniform then why not all of the other units. It can save the department thousands.

Guess all of you guys in pajamas will need to go get those new uniform shirts tapered up...I don't think they come in Lycra..

I didn't think that our jail took prisoners?

You are out of your mind if you think those uniforms are cost effective. Think about it, K9 wearing our uniforms, running through the woods. They will go through of one of our uniforms a day, typical Canadian thought. Hey Joe if we spend $100,000 on uniforms this year instead of $110,000 on uniforms this year we can save $5,000 a month for a year. Where do these fools come from?

You really want to save money on uniforms get rid of these uncomfortable pants that we go through 10 pair a year. Issue 3 pairs of BDU uniforms a year they will far outlast what we have now.

Certainly not prisoners spitting up blood.

Should they move him to avoid a damn lawsuit, I hope in transit, a metal pole flies off a passing truck, through the window and strikes him(only him) directly in his cold heart.

If he's in general population how is he colder than anyone else? On top of that, he basically admitted to killing the two officers when he was arrested by the FBI...I'm so tired of hearing these "badasses" turn into whiny little bitches when they get caught for heinous crimes and then complaining about how the "system" is unfair to them.

As an Athens resident who watched the families of SPO Christian & Howard suffer, the ACCPD mourn the loss of their brother and the community as a whole endure the sadness and grief of the senseless execution of Officer Christian... If Jamie Hood has to endure a little cold and inconvenience - well so be it. For those interested, the Athens Banner-Herald had an article ( http://onlineathens.com/local-news/2012-02-15/jamie-hood-i-could-have-killed-more-officers )about this thug this morning and he actually blames the shooting on Officer Howard. Can you believe this junk???

What does uniforms have to do while talking about that scumbag in Hall County Jail?

Did that person miss something about the story or was uniforms on his mind since day one?

Save the county a ton of money and do not wear uniforms of any type, better yet, go naked and really stand out!!!
