Another Close Call In South Precinct

Once again, a South Precinct officer found himself making a life or death decision. When confronted by a predator, the officer was left with no other choice then shooting the predator.

The officer involved was not injured. Looks like the bad guy will live.

More details to come.

It is and always has been, to be judged by twelve than carried by six......Good shooting brother or sister !!

Twice in two weeks. This is where the bickering on this blog stops. Protect that thin blue line and always be there for your fellow officer. Be safe!

Yes it was. The biggest problem i see out there is the fear offices have for the aftermath. Between IA and some smart a*s supervisor, officers tend to second guess themselves when they should shooting.

GOD bless the officers involved.

Im just glad both officers are okay! This goes to show you it's not a game out here. These perps dont want to go to jail.

First of all, thankfully the officers o.k.
Now on to the point. Guys and gals hang on to your seats, it will be a long, hot and dangerous summer for us out there. Times are tough, people are broke, people are getting crazier and more brazen by the day. The dog days of summer will be upon us and YOU had better be ready. Don't let anything or anyone get the jump on you. Stay alert and stay safe.
Just a reminder.

If you fear IA or some piece of shit slug supervisor when using deadly force, then you need to find another job.

You do what you have to do and then you call your union or PBA lawyer.

Seconding guessing becuase of what might happen is pathetic.

The Officer that shot the scumbag saved the other Officers from what would have been serious injury or even death. We have become too taser happy! If a perp is armed or you suspect he is armed why the f&$! would you have your taser out? Good job to the Officer, my hat is off to you sir!

April 23 3:07 PM - as a citizen, i couldn't agree with you more. If someone has the mental and moral capacity to think it's ok to shoot at an Officer, they deserve to be cleaned right out of the gene pool. If someone disagrees, please do explain to me why i should have any compassion for someone like that?? SO glad all the Officers are OK !!!!!

Ok I'm lost, did the perp have a weapon ? And did the initial officer use his/her taser first then the secondary officer shot the perp? Someone please clarify so we can settle this debate

All that matters is Boo got shot, there is no debate here!

DeKalb police confirm Sgt. Anthony Robinson and Officer Qwantwas Hudson were placed on leave this week. Both officers work for the department's South Precinct on Candler Road.

Word has it, a certain South Side Day watch Sergeant has conquered yet another one of his female subordinates. Are you freaking kidding me?! Does this kid (Sgt. Pierre) have balls or what?! Is this kid really this untouchable?? I actually hear he's a pretty good 10-26, but does that get him 14 lives? I'm baffled

Pierre is not an good Sgt, nor was he a good officer.. He should have been fired a long time ago... Ooooo Im sorry he was fired but given his job back....nuff said about him.... Sorry for Robinson. If he was invovled in what they saye he was.... O well,,, goodbye to him and everyone else involved in that stupid bullshit.

well, I can understand about Sgt. Robinson, he has always been one to put hands on perps alittle too rough and I can understand about Sgt. Pierre, he has always been protected by Lt. Holmes, who is not that bright but you cant tell him that. There are some good Sgts at South, Sgt. Crawford does her job, so does Sgt. Weaver, both Sgt. D James and A James too. But poor evening watch, dealing with Lt. Cunningham, he is an absolute joke. I feel so bad for evening watch sgts and officers. He is still doing pop quizzes during roll call, seriously! Most of the answers he had to research himself. I wonder if the south officers know his history with the department, especially since we walks around ACTING as if he knows everything now! Cunningham has always been an idiot, and he is and idiot with rank!
