.....And The Rest of The Story

Blatant cover up. No other way to describe it. This makes the entire chain of command look bad. This makes I.A. look bad.

Looks like  "Taka Wiz" Miller and Burrell Ellis have their hands up Chief O'Brien's butt making his mouth move. We bet O'Brien is saying "If I can only hang on till the first of the year".

Pitiful, truly pitiful.

And you wonder why it took DKPD to get cameras. It should be mandatory they record while on duty until 1042 like other departments. Simply upload to archive in case a complaint is ever made. Why are we so far behind everyone else?

Haa it just cant get any better, I bet right about now Ol Stan wished along with other BOC members they had'nt autorized the purchase of the Video Cameras.

Burgess was the last real chief that DeKalb had. The sad thing is that with proper leadership, DeKalb still has enough great officers, and resources to be close to the top again. The thing isn't that Watson got a pass, it is why he get a pass, and the fact that no one but the officers seem to give a damn about the the county anymore.

Isn't this the same corrupt government that implemented a revenue producing ticket quota for its officers after "losing" 40 million dollars on the court end of the process? So which is it, you want tickets and revenue. or you want to cut people breaks? Your tax base is gone, and the officers you trained are jumping ship. I want to know exactly what the B.O.C. is doing right?

Why not just pull the radio transmissions that night? There is absolutely no way a Lieutenant did not know what was going on...

Is it no longer considered officer discretion to accomplish public safety goals by getting a drunk home and off the road without making charges? How did the media become privy to this incident?

Of course, Wilson "can't recall". That gets him out of a flat denial, which would be a LIE, and allows Commissioner DUI to not be arrested. Is Doug an idiot? Well, he ain't the brightest bulb in the lamp, but he does know how to cover himself. None of the Exalted Ones are wanting this DUI to be prosecuted, so Wilson is safe. Of course, Major Jones is covered because all he has to say is "Lt. Wilson did not tell me anything about anyone being drunk". O'Brein is trying to cover his 82.5% retirement, so naturally he is going to say whatever he has to until he leaves.
I pray to a Most Merciful God that we get a REAL cop as chief before I retire. Where is Chief Burgess when you need him?

When will the officers of DeKalb get some balls to do what they hired to do, are u that afraid to do your job because of the corrupt DeKalb goverment that something will happen and u will be out of a job. Lead by example and this shows how from the top to the bottom the reason why. No one is above the law.

Until we get the CEO and the Commissioner's dirty meddling hands off of this department, we will continue to see stuff like this and the weed incident taking place. If O'Brien was really running this department, things like this wouldn't happen. But all Holmes has to do is jump the chain of command, over OB, go running to Burrell and Wiz, and his little secretary and their other little pets can do whatever they please.

I am confused is Watson and Sutton-Barnes the same person? They look just alike. That is strange!! They have very similar behavior also.

Hate to burst everybodys bubble but the chief is making more decision than you think without wiz input. I know we cant believe he is but he is. Its just easier to blame everything on wiz but when need to start blaming the right man which is the chief.

Its becoming very hard trying to surpress the pain of constantly getting ph*ked! This clear obvious and disrespectful cover up is sickening. This place follows policy when it see's fit.

7:43pm, you don't have a clue what you're talking about. Wiz even put out an order not long ago that all requests for police services must be approved by him. Then there was the weed incident with Holmes' secretary. O'Brien was pushed aside as Wiz,Holmes and Ellis stifled the investigation into the secretary and put the officers who smelled the weed and the k9 officer under a microscope. Just shut up until you have clue.

Once again tell me why any City would hire DeKalb Command Staff ?

Did IA not take a statement from Stan Watson? How do you complete this investigation without it. Who was really being investigated Stan Watson or Sgt Parker? How do you target a good Officer/Sgt. when it was Stan Watson who comitted the crime not the Sgt. I also heard that the Captain in IA was all up in Sgt. Parkers face threatening him. I suggest that everyone burn a copy of this report to use if they ever get written up and end up in IA. This is great evidence for an appeals hearing.

To Dale Russell, there is more to this story, who did Stan call? Since, I.A. is too stupid to pull cell phone records to see who all was called, you can pull them under open records. I would be surprised if it stopped at Wilson. Wouldn't surprise me a bit to hear that a Captain and Major knew, as well as some above the rank of Major.
Wilson,I couldn't work for you, my integrity would prevent me from doing so. I could see an answer of, "I don't recall", on a trivial matter like a traffic stop, but on something like this, give me a break!
Lesson to all, "I don't recall".

AGAIN... How many officers are going to fall on the sword for these ass hats?

Anonymous said...

Good vs. Evil, and for the last 10 years, good has been getting its ass kicked. Good NEEDS help soon.

Ya'll make me sick. I'm so glad I left. Back stabbing, cover ups, just depends who you are and who you know. Anyone that has been around knows this decison was not made by anyone at the scene. With it being the Commissioner, the decision would have been the same regardless what was passed on.

Anonymous said...

And really who cares? What can the commissioner do if the officer is in the right? All this is nothing a voice stress analysis can't get to the bottom of.

Anonymous said...

8:20pm, some commissioners are very cozy with high ranking officials within the department. Piss off the wrong commissioner and I don't care how many cold case homicides you've solved, you're going to animal control. If you don't know that, you've been here less than two years. Stan Watson is especially tight with Holmes and Lane-Woodard-Williams or whatever her name is this week.

Then I'd do the best job in Animal Control I could knowing I can hold my head high and sleep at night haven't not given in to the corrupt. Then retire early from my suit of unjustified punitive recourse/harassment.

Good has been getting it's ass kicked around here since 2000.
