I'll never forget that smirk and those cigarettes. Riding in that car with you for eight hours a day for two weeks nearly drove me nuts, but I learned alot from you. I could always come to you with a problem and you'd help. Rest in Peace Brother....

I wil miss you brother. Always thought the world of you. You were my FTO on southside back 1990 and I always thought a good part of my success as an officer was because of YOU! You were most likely the BEST auto theft detective DKPD ever had or ever will have. You were deffinately the cream of the crop and it was an honor to be your friend. I will always love and miss you.

Brain and I worked South Side together for years and had a friendly competition to see who caught the most 73 perps. We often said to each other, "And we are getting paid for this fun". I will trully miss that Irishman...

Normally I don't go to visitations, but I did for Fitz and all of us who couldn't go. A lot of his old partners in uniform and c.i.d. were there. Following the formalities, we all stood in the parking lot, shooting the sh*t about one good old Irish sumbitch we all knew and loved. Lot of good memories, from a lot of old "po-lice". Wish we could have piled up all the J-2 we all drank back in the day ! I could still hear him saying "Why hell, that ain't nothing. Hand me another shot and beer, and my cigarettes. Yall just ain't gonna believe this sh*t" !! Then we would tell our favorite jokes like, "Why did God create alcohol? To keep the Irish from taking over the world"! IF YOU KNEW FITZ/YOU LOVED HIM. IF YOU DIDN'T KNOW FITZ/YOU WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT YOU MISSED ! Don't worry about Fitz, everything is 10-4 for him now. Another good Irish cop gone, way before his time. ERIN GO BRAUGH, my old friend, ERIN GO BRAUGH !!!
