This blog page was established so DeKalb County Police Officers including their family and friends may have a place to hold discussions, post news and vent without fear of retribution.
Yes, thank you Keith Barker.
Should be interesting... Heard Eric Erickson (RedState.com/ WSB radio etc.....) say it sounded like Ellis was no different than other politicians ....just a little heavy handed.
just as I predicted; not one white shirt standing with the DA at his press conference. If this had been an officer they all would have been there talking about how shameful and dishonorable the officer is.
It's a proud day for Dekalb County. I can only hope that the feds are waiting in the wings with more charges.
The only thing that I am waiting on is.......To see Vernon indicted. Boorail is a piece of cake compared to what ole Vern did! If there is going to be Justice, let it also be provided to us for what Vern did. No Justice no Peace!
What I am waiting on is.......Vernon to be indicted next. Boorail is a piece of cake compared to what Vern did to the County! Let there be Justice to us for what Vern did to Dekalb. Remember no Justice no Peace. All of us who have worked under these administrations have suffered the consequences of their bad decisions and politics and political appointees. Finally we have a shot at justice. Remember you reap what you sow!
Citizens of DeKalb County to The Governor of Georgia, Nathan Deal.CEO of DeKalb County Burrell Ellis is nothing less than an arrogant self righteous fool and maybe a crook to boot.Appoint the panel ASAP to rid DeKalb County of this poor excuse of leadership. And to the voters of DeKalb County = SMARTEN UP = STOP ELECTING THESE SELF RIGHTEOUS HYPOCRITES and GOOD GOD PEOPLES LOOK AT YOUR NEIGHBORHOODS AND START GETTING OF THESE FOOL BOC MEMBERS.
I got Etta James playing at my house... sing along with me... "At Laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasssssssssssst"
Hargh! Finally! This was a long time coming, next time I run into JT Morgan, expect some heated words over this subject. I never had anything against DeKalb CEO Ellis. He was courteous, polite and professional in my personal interactions with the commissioner servicing his needs. All that changed after he was elected as DeKalb CEO.Within one week I was banned from the CEO's office. Good ole' Vern Jones would have fired me for my actions. CEO Ellis was more legalistic and simply banned me from his office for speaking out on the luxurious accommodations of the CEO/BOC offices and the drainage tarps provided to the employees working at several county facilities. What really pissed me off was CEO Ellis's facade of fiscal responsibility in the 2009 DeKalb financial crises, CEO Ellis's first move was to switch offices with the GIS department. This cost the county about 35 grand and disrupted the GIS department. I realized at this point that CEO Ellis didn't give a damn about financial responsibility or efficient DeKalb operations. Ellis got his luxurious office and basically fracked off. Screw everyone else.I have zero sympathy for the world's best lawyer fracking up and subsequent indictment.Undoubtedly Ellis will receive support from DeKalb's misguided citizens and voters. Best of luck, mates!KenC
Anon 9:50,You are correct. We work for a cowardly command staff. No one will say a word about this. Not your chief, not your precinct commander, no one!
Is the CEO on admin leave now? What precinct counted the felony arrest? I'm sure our command staff wants to count the stat.
Keith Barker- what'd he have to do with this?
Anon 10:33 what did Vernon do? Please state the facts like this. MPO's received a $5000.00 bonus, all county employees received at least a 3% pay raise, and we got side walks and libraries etc in this county. I'm not saying he was the best but Can you please help me understand your point
Just send in the National Guard and be done with this shit hole. Hopefully this concludes the last remaining CEO form of corrupt govt at any rate.
Anon 5:31 - are you new to the County? Who do you think Frank reported to when the following incident happened. Was Frank responding to a call, or did he just show up??On August 26th, 2004, Charles Hicks, Dekalb County Attorney was found dead. The death of Charles Hicks was eventually ruled a suicide however I believe that this was another case in which there are more questions than answers. Ron Marshall, head of the Grady Coalition, was an acquaintance of Hicks. He told me that on many occasions he told him that he (Hicks) was concerned about all of the corruption that he was procuring. The first officer on the scene was one Donald Frank, a wily character that Marshall says he would run into again. The most damning piece of evidence was that the gun was found laying next to Hicks' right hand. This seems peculiar since Hicks was in fact left handed.
So you get indicted for felonies that you allegedly committed while on the job, and you get to continue to do your job? The same job that you allegedly used to commit these numerous felonies. Sad!
@June 19, 2013 at 10:46 PM...sorry but he committed suicide, ....Frank didnt out smart multiple investigators from the M.Es office to us....please go back to your theories about black helicopters and FEMA camps guarded by alien beings
