A
memorial service will be held 4PM Thursday, September 19, 2013 in the
Snellville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, with Chaplain Ben Gaither
officiating. The family will receive friends 2 hours before the
service. He was raised in Ramsey, NJ, graduated high school in 1970,
where he played football and ran track; he graduated from Danville IL
Jr. College. Major Stathis retired from DeKalb County Police Department
in 2011 with 38 years and 7 months of service. He is survived by his
Wife of 29 years; Lynn Combs Stathis, Snellville; Daughter: Kerri Lynn
Stathis, Duluth; Brother & Sister-in-law: Rick & Linda Stathis,
Arlington, TX; Aunt: Jane Wulf, Naperville, IL; Cousins: David Wulf,
Tulsa, OK; Mark Wulf, Naperville, IL. Arrangements made by Tim Stewart
